British actress Laura Haddock (Da Vinci's Demons, The Inbetweeners, GOTG) has announced via Twitter that she's joined the cast of the currently shooting fifth movie in the Transformers franchise..

Michael Bay's Transformers: The Last Knight has added yet another cast member. Even though production on the movie is currently underway, Laura Haddock - who played Peter Quill's dying mother in Guardians of the Galaxy - has taken to Twitter to announce that she'll be joining Mark Wahlberg and co. in the latest instalment.

No details on her character are provided, but Haddock seems particularly excited to have the opportunity to work alongside one Optimus Prime.

I always had a problem with the opening scene in GotG (which I love). It just felt jarring how it went from the super serious moment to DANCE DANCE DANCE!!! Which is probably why they put theMarvel logo in between scenes.
