Comedian Jerrod Carmichael, who headlines The Carmichael Show for NBC, has joined the cast of Transformers 5.  Mark Wahlberg and Nickelodeon star, Isabela Moner are also among the fifth Transformer movie's cast.  Filming is expected to begin this Summer, in Detroit.  Michael Bay will direct from a script penned by writing teams of  Akiva Goldsman & Jeff Pinkner and  Art Marcum & Matt Holloway.  This will "reportedly" be Michael Bay's last Transformers movie.  Little is known about the plot, but a Bumblebee spinoff film is slated for release the following year.

Transformers 5 will be released in theaters on June 23, 2017.

Michael Bay has said after every one of these that it was his last. Every one of them.

3 was his last one until he decided to direct 4
4 was his last one until he decided to direct 5.

I don't believe any of Bays abominations are his last.

@MattBellissimo - Well lets keep in mind he's under contract with Paramount, so as long he's under contract with them, Paramount can force him to do more. since pretty much the producers and the studio wants Bay to stay and do them.

for example for the fourth movie, the deal was Bay would get to do his Pain and Gain movie which he wanted to do for years, IF he did another Transformers for the studio in exchange

@MattBellissimo -

Dude, I'm getting sick of you whining all the time. Bay loves Transformers, alright? He used to play with the toys as a kid in the 80s.

Yup...between shoots for the Indiana Jones movies that he worked on for special effects, 25 year old Bay would play with his Transformers toys.
