RUMOR: Omega Supreme is the Ark in Transformers 3 Trailer

An Italian blog tells us that the Ark on the dark side of the moon may in fact be the Transformer Omega Supreme. And the fire truck is ... Sentinel Prime! What do you think?

A reader alerted us to an interesting image. Below is a rendering of the Ark, the ship appeared in the trailer for Transformers: Dark of the Moon, TRANSFORMERS!

The hypothesis is that there may be Omega Supreme ("advanced weapon resembling the namesake of the series G1 Autobot that transforms into the spaceship land division which looks like the Ark of the G1 series" source Wikipedia).

Obviously this is not the official image (or at least not yet), what do you think?

The release of Transformers: The Dark of the Moon is scheduled for July 1, 2011 in America.

UPDATE: Our Convoy81 player, whom we thank, we gave further details on the image:

The source is a render TFlamb is ripped from something and erased multiple times from various sources. As you can see the image is low resolution, so it's strange that a fan art, it seems more a scan ...

The structure seems to be that the Ark (especially the left side and chest with two cylinders). Now I do not know whether Omega or a Decepticon, most likely the center with the huge blue feet that were seen in Chicago. If the Ark is perhaps a kind of reference to the history of Animated (where Omega was the Ark). Or is the weapon you want to bring to Earth Shockwave. On Earth, perhaps the key is just to turn this "monster" (and I imagine that the hidden Dylan \ Dempsey) ... Maybe the Decepticons and the Autobots who seek it. CASE: A key to Vector Sigma.

The autobots confirmed to be in Transformers 3 are Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ironhide, Ratchet, Sideswipe, Silverbolt and Rollbar (A Jeep Wrangler). Jolt and the 3 Arcees will not return. Although Bay denied the twins would return, 2 spark cars have been spotted on set. A Ferrari 458 Italia, a Rosenbauer panther fire truck, a Blue Mercedes-Benz E550 and Three modified NASCAR Chevrolet Impala stock cars, resembling those of Juan Pablo Montoya(#42 Target), Dale Earnhardt, JR (#88 AMP energy/national guard) and Jimmie Johnson(#48 Lowes/kobalt) were spotted on set and are revealed to be an Autobot Sub-Team called "The wreckers".

The decepticons confirmed to be in the film are Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave and Shockwave. There will also be a Superfund armored truck, a black dodger SRT-8, and a Chevrolet Tahoe. Also, 2 assassins and a giant decepticon are going to appear.

The Jeep Wrangler IS NOT in the film, it was built by a fan and they tried sneaking it onto the set, it has never been photographed with the official Autobot vehicles on set.

If you read the pic that @gunsmith put up it says that optimus' trailer is where all that extra armor and weaponry comes from.

Amen to that brother!

Transformers only looked the way they did back then because their designs had to be the same as the cartoons which are forced to be simple. If they had the tech back then that we do know. I'ld bet that they wouldn't have looked like boxes.

It seems like the designs in this movie are toned down a bit... they look a little more like the ones from the recent Video game I think its called, "War for Cybertron"

It would not surprise me one bit if this was in fact Omega Supreme. And it would be awesome.

I still think though that the Yellow Bot seen in the last moments of the teaser is *somehow* an imprisoned Unicron, perhaps scaled down in stasis, or however Bay plans on explaining it.

On a side note, I have posted this vid before because it has already been said that the fire truck is Sentinel Prime. In the vid you can hear it straight from the film set security. I think he may actually be telling the truth.

Another prime only hurts things if his back story does not make it believable that no one knew about him. If he was believed dead floating in space, then it is reasonable that everyone thought Optimus was the last of his kind, just like Superman before Kara showed up.

@Gunsmith I dont know where you got that confirmation from but that is totally incorrect. The Jeep Wrangler is not in the movie. A fan brought his custom Wrangler to the set to see if Mr. Bay would cast his vehicle as a transformer for the movie. I even asked him on set while here in Detroit since I was an extra and he said that it isn't being used not to mention was debunked a long time back already. It is also not confirmed by anyone credible that the fire truck is Sentinel Prime.

It's gonna suck and and have lots of Bay Splosions, hot chicks, Shia LeDouche saying "No, no, no, no!"...awful just awful.

That is unless....they have the song "You got the Touch" in there somewhere.


@ckal-I'd rather take the boxes to be honest. The new look of the Transformers is hideous to look at, it actually hurts my eyes.

#1, I really want to see this movie,

#2 Omega Supreme was not the Ark from the G1 Series! It was the Ark in the short lived Transformers Animated Series, which is like G7 or 8.

#3 If you U.S. Government found another Transformer in 1969, why wasn't it put with Megatron in Sector 7 or if they couldn't get it to earth, why wasn't it acknowledged?

gotta say the ship on the dark side of the moon more closely resembles the predacons crashed ship in beast wars. it does not look like the ark, it does not look like omega supreme, and i will boycott the movie if they try to do trypticon/metroplex/scorponok/fortress maximus.

Should be interesting regardless - I don't care if this movie ends up sucking - part of me wants to skip it but so much of me wants to see how Bay is gonna end his run on these films.

Then within 4 years we'll see a reboot or a prequel and it will all start again, minus bay and his version.
