Paramount Sets Release Dates For TRANSFORMERS 5, 6 And 7

Paramount Pictures has just announced the release date for not one but three more Transformers films. Transformers 5 will go head-to-head with Wonder Woman at the box office.

Much ado was made over Paramount Pictures putting together a writer's room of A-listers (including Robert Kirkman, Steven DeKnight, Zak Penn among others) to make up the future of the Transformers franchise.  Apparently that workshop paid off dividends as Paramount has just announced release dates for not one but three more Transformers features.

Michael Bay returns to direct Transformers 5 from a script written by Art Marcum & Matt Holloway (Iron Man) and Ken Nolan (Black Hawk Down). That film currently has a release date of June 23, 2017. Competing with the film will be the Kingsman sequel (06/16), Wonder Woman (06/23), Despicable Me 3 (06/30) and Uncharted (06/30).

Transformers 6 will be released on June 8, 2018. The sixth installment will compete at the box office with the Godzilla sequel (06/08), Toy Story 4 (06/15) and the Jurassic World sequel (06/22).

Transformers 7 will hit US theaters on June 28, 2019. This Transformers film will compete with Justice League Part Two (06/14) and The Incredibles 2 (06/21) so far. As time passes, expect the 2019 film slate to become more crowded.

@NightWatcher Good news for me. Reasons why?

1.) New writers
2.) New Trilogy
3.) Unicron

@NightWatcher - Well? with these new writers coming on board maybe there's a chance this franchise could the way of Mission Impossible and Fast & Furious. Of course having Bay back as directing isn't comforting though maybe future installments could improve as long as he isn't director. I could probably overlook all the Bayisms e.g. American Flags if it were not for the fact they are on for so long. When you're watching DOTM it feels like two movies. These movies keep getting longer. I swear if TF5 is as long as AOE, I wouldn't be surprised if I went on Saturday morning and walked out of the theater on Sunday night.

I will be waiting for this on DVD unless by some miracle this becomes an amazing movie. But I already saw 3 and half bay transformers and still not into it like i was when i was a kid. TMNT 2 looks more promising than Transformers right meow.

Wow! In 2017, they'll go face to face with WW and in 2018, Godzilla. I see them winning both of those weekends.

WW is definitely moving now. The general audience laps up trash like Transformers and Star Wars.
