Michael Bay's Transformers: Age of Extinction currently has an 18% rotten rating on Rotten Tomatoes, yet the most negative reviews have stopped the film from grossing over $600M worldwide. One of the producers of the film, Lorenzo di Bonaventura, believes he knows why the film has been panned. "There's a combination of factors" Mr. Bonaventura told the press. "Number one, critics do not understand this kind of movie. They just don’t understand, they don’t get why people like this kind of movie. They’re evaluating a movie like this, that is meant for mass entertainment on a really epic scale, as though it’s a 1970’s Martin Scorsese movie."

Instead of debating if the film is good or not, let's talk a look at some wonderful concept art for the film that Warren Manser ("The Dark Knight Rises") created.

TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION - The film begins after an epic battle that left a great city torn, but with the world saved. As humanity picks up the pieces, a shadowy group reveals itself in an attempt to control the direction of history… while an ancient, powerful new menace sets Earth in its crosshairs. In an incredible adventure, they are swept up in a war of good and evil, ultimately leading to a climactic battle across the world.

TRANSFORMERS 4 will be directed by Michael Bay, from a script written by Ehren Kruger. The cast includes: Mark Wahlberg, Kelsey Grammar, Nicola Peltz, Stanley Tucci and Jack Reynor. Set for release on June 27th, 2014!

Terrible looking designs..just plain messy.
Looking at that Bumblebee is like looking down at a bicycle helmet. Awful.

I've seen fan art better than these designs..stupid lips on Optimus, unforgivable.
Ignorant movie for the ignorant masses.

I saw it yesterday. The editing sucked. Most of the time it didn't make sense what the hell was going on. Characters would disappear for no apparent reason. It also felt like two separate movies mashed together.

I loved the 1st TF movie, but I left the theater feeling like I wasted my money this time.

Man, how are you gonna tell people "Instead of debating if the film is good or not, let's take a look at some wonderful concept art for the film" and you use flame bait in the same article? I think you knew what kind of reaction that quote is gonna evoke. Irresponsible journalism smh, but cool art anyway.

The fact that it was a typical Bay Transformers movie meant that I wasn't disappointed by it. Doesn't mean I thought it was great, just more a case of it was exactly what I expected it to be. I'm kind of indifferent towards these movies at this stage. I neither love nor hate them, they're just kinda there. It might have been more passable for a descent enough summer popcorn fest had it been an hour shorter and cut out all subplots involving Wahlberg's daughter and her bf.
