RUMOR: THE WOLVERINE 3 To Be Rated R; Will Adapt The OLD MAN LOGAN Storyline

According to a new report, Fox are indeed aiming for an R-Rating for The Wolverine 3. Why? Well, because it's going to adapt the ultra violent "Old Man Logan" storyline! Hit the jump for details...

According to Den of Geek, they've heard that the next Wolverine movie is indeed going to be R-Rated, but that decision has nothing to do with the recent success of Deadpool. Apparently, director James Mangold has been planning to bid a violent farewell to the character for some time now, and a big part of that is because it will adapt Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's Old Man Logan.

Now, there's a lot of things in that movie Fox can't use (Hawkeye, The Hulk, and the Red Skull for example), but as the site points out, the "comic book story is incredibly violent, featuring decapitations, brutal murders, and a hero who suffers from sudden bursts of bloodlust."

The site goes on to add that the movie is also likely to get a new title before its March 3rd, 2017 release. Now, we've obviously already heard a fair bit about The Wolverine 3 adapting Old Man Logan and it was just a few days ago that a pamphlet seemingly confirmed that R-Rating, so there's nothing massively new here. Still, for now, we can take this report as semi-confirmation anyway!

I think it's probably a good way for the Jackman Wolverine to go out. But I can't help but feel with this new Deadpool really excited to see someone else take over the role so Wolverine and Deadpool can interact and that Wolverine can be a member of the X-men again.

This is the heart of what the character was originally conceived to be. Violent and uncontrollable when he gets enraged.

Took Fox how many years to finally get it? Anyways, I'm happy
