As the X-Men: Apocalypse character profile promos continue, the latest mutant to get the spotlight is Angel, AKA Archangel, AKA En Sabah Nur's Death.

In the comics, Warren Worthington began as one of the original X-Men before losing his wings and being swayed to join Apocalypse, but it looks like the movie will do things in reverse.

This brief teaser contains some cool new shots of Angel in action, so check it out below.

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

X-Men: Apocalypse hits theaters on May 18.

@BlackStar25 - Cause Cyclops sucks. Why do people like that lame character?
LEOSTRATOR
LEOSTRATOR - 5/5/2016, 11:21 AM
@YoungThanos - Wrong, Cap always had layers to him. Cyclops in the books always came off as the winy, over protective boyfriend, boy scout with self esteem issues. My buddy and I had this argument a lot while in school. I'm team Logan and he was team Summer.

After writing that, it looks a bit weird. LOL.

I doubt he'll even contribute much to the movie, to be honest.

Just saw Civil War. Mini review.

It's everything you wisjed BvS was. It handles multiple storylines, political views on superheroes, conflict of ideals all better than BvS and Zemo's methods and reasoning within the film are more fleshed out than Lex's.

I know it's unfair to compare films at times, but there are enough similarities between the films that it makes you see where BvS is lacking...

@obarium - Can we just forget BvS already? That movie doesn't deserve this much attention. Is a stupid comparison, Civil War was a culmination of a series of least 7 movies (3 very good ones), BvS was a sequel to an equally bad movie.

@dubjon - Comparing Civil War to BvS was just the quickest way to get my opinion across because it's a reference point many users on this site will understand. The 2 films also have many very similar beats and ideas.

As someone who wanted to love BvS but left feeling flat and kind of disappointed, I don't want to forget about the film. I want it to be the turning point of the DCEU, where WB pulls finger and give us the kind of superhero films we want to see.

Final thought. I've been saying this for years (not on this site I don't think), before Civil War came out I wagered that Captain America would hold the title of best solo superhero trilogy, usurping the Dark Knight Trilogy. I believe that is now the case. Batman is now 2nd in my book.

PS. I would like apologize to everyone. I an X-Men isn't the place to be discussing Civil War and BvS.
