Well, the rumors were true. The new trailer for X-Men: Apocalypse is here and is comprised almost entirely of brand new footage - including a brief shot of a very familiar looking clawed hand right at the end. There's also Quicksilver acknowledging Magneto as his father, our first bit of dialogue from Nightcrawler (who may or may not recognize Mystique as his mother). Plus, what seems to be confirmation that Raven will indeed lead the team in Xavier's absence.

Check it out below and let us know what you think in the comments section.

X-Men: Apocalypse is once again directed by Bryan Singer, and is set to open in theaters on May 27, 2016.

@MattBellissimo - Of course there had to be one in a Fox-Men movie.

Unfortunate they had to throw what will probably be a short cameo into the trailer.

@MattBellissimo - It's Wolverine breaking out of the Weapon X facility. This time, it's going to be done right? One can hope.

@Luminus - I think that's the implication. I bet anything he's gonna have that famous helmet on his head.

@MattBellissimo - That would be cool.

@Luminus - What's the point of including this scene in this movie? I know DOFP set up such a scenario, but it seems they are shoehorning a Wolverine scene into the movie just to feature the character, unless he does help out in the final battle somehow. I believe Hugh Jackman took part in two weeks of shoots and reshoots, so that could be 5-15 minutes of screen time.

@PsychoticSpaceRaccoon - I have a sinking feeling they cut it in to raise the hype. Wolverine tends to do that. Plus this comes out three weeks after CW.

@MattBellissimo - And then after his own solo film, he will be gone. It's interesting to think where the series will go from here. Will they recast, add X-23, or just focus on other mutants?

@TheAstoundingMan - Well, Gambit was the original plan to fill the void, but Deadpool's success kinda threw a wrench into that. It'll be interesting indeed to see how they do without Hugh.

F*ck me. I guess Jennifer Lawrence will get the majority of the screen time.

Well it's the end of the 1st class trilogy so in terms of "star power/popularity" she comes next. 1st class was focused on magneto, dofp was Xavier, now its mystique/beast (and J-Law is very famous so it makes sense business wise). And she's a great actor so I don't mind as long as the end product is good.

@riseofloganX36 - [frick] are you talking about? As a matter of fact, who the [frick] are you? I've supported the movie since the first trailer. Do some research before you assume shit.
