X-Men timeline - Days of Future Past

X-Men REAL Timeline. Most people are confused, but this explains everything.

Wolverine meets with Young Xavier, Magneto, Mystique and Beast 31 years before X-Men Events in 2004. This alone prevents Everything.

(alternative image link - http://s22.postimg.org/s2404a6v3/XMENTIMELINE.png)

1)Wolverine will have bone claws - Wolverine: Origins event is prevented.
2)Wolverine half-brother Victor Creed is ALIVE(Prevented X-Men)
3)Stryker is alive(prevented X-Men 2)
4)Because everything else was prevented and changed - X-Men 1, 2 and 3 never happens - Jean Grey and Cyclops are alive
5)Wolverine Japan - never happens

Now the real question is...
Will Wolverine stuck in past, or he changes past and time travel back to future?
If Wolverine stuck in past, they can make at least 3 more X-Men movies without (Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen - THEY ARE TOO OLD) and fix the timeline. If Wolverine travels back to future(2023) then they have to make future world and we have most of the story missing because Wolverine Origins, X-Men 1,2 and 3 are all prevented. Now what? Magneto and Professor X are best friends now and dying because of old age?

Bryan Singer teaser: " As a result, we have parallel action, and there's underlying tension because there's always that threat Wolverine's consciousness could return to the future and leave the world in an even darker place."

Because its huge time leap from Last Stand and Days of Future past, this alone makes all characters older.

What you want?
A)Wolverine stuck in past - See new timeline, Victor Creed story, Stryker story, more of Younger X and Magneto and his team story, more of X-Men crew and school.

or

B)Wolverine comes back to future - Everything continues in future, ignoring Victor Creed, Stryker and past events story, more of continues after Future, new mutants.

or

C)Wolverine screws up past, return to the future and leave the world in an even darker place.

Do you guys want A, B or C Scenario?

how is Victor Creed and Stryker being alive prevent X1 and X2?
FreedomFreeLife
FreedomFreeLife - 11/11/2013, 2:03 PM
Because in original timeline Victor Creed dies in X-Men 1(Sabretooth) and Stryker dies in X-Men 2. Now when we have Alternative timeline, this means X-Men 1 and X-Men 2 movie never happened, this means Victor Creed and Stryker are both alive in new future timeline.

Traviling back in 1973 prevents X-Men 1,2 and 3.
When Those movies are prevented, this means Victory Creed and Stryker are alive.

Are you Asian? You type like an Asian speaks broken English.

I got lost with this. I think what you're trying to say is:

2023: Wolverine sent into past (current timeline including all movies)
1973: Wolverine meets up with old Prof. X

By travelling back and altering the course of history, you cannot predict what causality will do. Evidently, however:

- Wolverine has not yet undergone the Weapon X Programme.
- He hasn't met Kayla Silverfox
- Victor Creed is alive and so is Stryker
- He never joins Stryker's team.

The last one has huge repurcussions. It makes it less likely Wolverine ever gets the Adamantium. We do not know if Deadpool is still... the way he is. The incident at three-mile-island never happens. Logan doesn't lose his memory.

Seriously, you have to analyse every detail when it comes to time travel.

My question is why do they want to retcon three great movies? (X-Men 1 & 2, and Wolverine)

Because x1 and 2 are not great.

This sort of blew my mind.

Here's what I think will happen:

- Wolverine will be sent back in time to stop whatever catastrophic event from happening
- Along the way, he also had to convince young Professor X to stop being such a sourpuss
- They succeed, and Prof. X re-opens his school, thus paving the way for more films in the future starring the First Class crew.

I believe that this movie could be great in a way that it fixes the continuity in a way that FOX can sort of start anew with more films led by MacAvoy and Fassbender (let's face it guys; the franchise needs a reboot).

They wanna retcon everything because they want to make a more comic book like CBM with the first class cast as opposed to the ones in the original X-men. At least that's what I think. I agree with your analysis but I don't thinks it's exactly that, however it's in the same vein.

lol hey guys come check out my newest article about the X-men timeline which I made in response to the craziness. http://www.comicbookmovie.com/news/?a=89899

@Sikwon
Well, opinion but to me they most certainly are. X2 was widely considered the best CBM along with Spidey 2 before 2008. It's not my #1 favorite but it is a great film.

X-Men is not as great but is still a strong movie.

You know if they had the Marvel Studios stamp on them everyone would be wanking.

Not to mention for their time they were fantastic. By current standards not AS good, but good.

You know, in short, First Class is the only movie before Days of Future Past that will be in continuity after 2014.

Wolverine goes back in time to change things. I really hate Singer's explanation for time-traveling - that in order for it to actually "happen", Wolverine has to somehow travel back to the future.

It's just stupid, really.

They making time travel to fix all those errors we had (Origins, X-Men 1,2, and 3). Also, people want something new, they could make reboot thing as they did with Star Trek

"doesn't prevent any of the other X-films." - If he meets with Professor X and Magneto 32 years earlier, then this alone changes all the events. If he already knows the future, why would he do all 100% same stuff??? Prevents Wolverine Origin alone prevents X-Men 2 which prevents Grey death which prevents X-Men 3 fight which prevents Wolverine Japan.

Maybe we can actually have suits closer to the comic book versions this time around if the timeline is changed, no more black leather jumpsuits :D

Very nice article, I think they will do like Star Trek and start building new continuity, but they will keep same actors. Just for the record, most of the continuity errors aren't real problems, I explained them: http://www.comicbookmovie.com/x-men_movies/news/?a=74458

I really hope myself that they do just like Star Trek, and not going back to future, instead start in 1973.
I feel its kinda wasted if they change past and then going back to the future because then it´s not reboot at all(or fix).

Yeah, same to you, nice article

Hopefully XMDOFP will be a reboot but will keep The Wolverine and First Class in the new reboot if that makes sense.

Great article though
