Finally Watched X-Men Origins: Wolverine

I finally watched X:men origins Wolverine last night. I thought it was pretty good--certainly better than you guys give it credit for.

First off I have to give an LOL at Professor Xavier popping up out of nowhere to pick up Scott and the mutants. As for the Deadpool creature, I think it could easily be repaired in a sequel(or rebooted in a spin off apparently). Im still a little pissed about Josh Hollaway not playing Gambit, but was still able to enjoy Kitcshes performance. You can only guess my surprise when I saw Kevin "Lobo" Durand playing blob. And Shrieber nailed Sabretooth of course. I thought all the performances were pretty good,(I didnt know Will.I.Am acted lol). My only concern is that instead of wiping out his memory, Strkyer just shoots him with a few adamintium(cant spell it) bullets, and then bam, instant permanent amnesia. It was a bit difficult for me to buy that. Overall I give it 4 out of 5 stars.

	geeks and fanatics tend to set the bar pretty high. especially since fox has had almost ten years to perfect the "wolverine" formula! i'm not that critical of this movie because they were covering so much ground in this film. could it have been done differently? yes. could it have bee better? yes could it have been worse? YES!!!!!!!!!!!! i have seen far worse movies that make even elektra sound good! sky high anyone? i just wish they could have pushed the blood count a bit more because it was unrealistic with all of that stabbing and slashing with no blood. 	heres the thing on the bullet concept. Did you guys know that there are certain head or brain surgeries where the patient can lose alot if not all of their memories? 	ditto @ teabag. wolverine is a very entertaining movie. it did it's job. it will never be as deep or thought provoking like the dark knight. it was never intended to be. it's just that fans automatically raised the bar when tdk was released. would i mind a wolverine movie on the scale of tdk? no, i wouldn't. will the studios ever consider wolverine to be nothing more than popcorn? probably not. fact of the matter is..... not every fan will like wolverine. beleive it or not, some fans didn't even like x2. people can make a stink about a movie that doesn't reach their standards. that is their right. i am hoping wolverine 2 will have more ethical questions behind it though. 	I wouldn't say it's a horrible movie, just not great one. My biggest problem is with the characters and their involvement in a story where they weren't involved...like Gambit. Don't get me wrong, I was thrilled to finally see Gambit on the big screen, but I didn't like how he was thrown into the story. 	Yeah, it WAS shit. I had unrealistic hopes for a great, mature Wolverine movie, I expected at least an entertaining action movie, and all I got at the end of the day was shit.* * well, not everything was pure shit. 	I waited.....and waited.....and waited for a year and a half for this movie. Finally my favorite character getting his own story AND Deadpool AND Maverick too?!?!? Origin story no less! Weapon X, the cabin, everything!!!:D Ouch! I don't know the the last time (if ever) I was so f'n dissapointed in a movie. This movie didn't have to be letter for letter with the comic book story but WTF where they thinking? Ugh. Sure for a popcorn movie it was ok. But I didn't want ok. I personally would have loved to see a rated R, with bloody claws throughout the movie, but I know they gotta sell it to the masses. 6 words I never ever thought I'd say: Iron Man is better than Woverine. 	Alright here is how I see it . If you are gonna make a COMIC BOOK MOVIE make it right. I mean how hard is it to get a story straight when its right there infront of your face. Comic book fans go to see the movie because they grew up reading about the characters. You say you want to please the public and just make a popcorn movie. I bet if you have the movie go along with the story line to the "T' and do it right then you've got more than a comic book movie because not only are you giving what the hard core fans want your also making it a popcorn flik at the same time. 	You're preaching to the choir GenLee01! Its right in front of them. Christ look at SinCity or Watchmen! It CAN be done right, maybe a few tweaks, but stay true to the story.
