Marvel comics PR division revealed to the Mary Sue that a new super heroine  named the Red Widow will her debut in Mockingbird: S.H.I.E.L.D 50th Anniversary #1. The series itself would be a one shot but will see the introduction of the lastest addition to the Black Widow tree. The Character will be written by Margaret Stohl who also wrote a novel called Black Widow: Forever Red which will be released sometime in October. Here is what the writer had to say:

"Ava Orlova is just trying to fit in as an average Brooklyn teenager, but her life has been anything but average. The daughter of a missing Russian quantum physicist, Ava was once subjected to a series of ruthless military experiments-until she was rescued by Black Widow and placed under S.H.I.E.L.D. protection. Ava has always longed to reconnect with her mysterious savior, but Black Widow isn’t really the big sister type".

"Until now"
