With Gotham City back under his watchful eye, and accompanied by able sidekick Robin, Batman continues to battle crime – but his resurgence awakens a far worse evil at Arkham Asylum: The Joker. In the meantime, Superman has been dispatched by the President to halt Batman’s unsanctioned reign by whatever means necessary. Between the Joker’s diabolical scheme to drag Batman to the darkest levels of insanity, and the Man of Steel’s seemingly invincible physical presence, the Dark Knight must confront adversaries and allies simultaneously while maintaining the peace in Gotham City.

Primetime television stars Michael Emerson (Person of Interest, Lost) and Mark Valley (Human Target, Fringe) join the voice cast as The Joker and Superman, respectively; and popular talk show host Conan O’Brien gives voice to animated talk show host Dave Endochrine. Fanboy favorite Peter Weller (RoboCop, Dexter) continues as Bruce Wayne/Batman, and he is once again accompanied by David Selby (The Social Network, Dark Shadows) as Commissioner Gordon, Ariel Winter (Modern Family) as Carrie/Robin, and Michael McKean (This is Spinal Tap) as Dr. Bartholomew Wolper. Also featured in the voice cast is Maria Canals-Barrrera (Wizards of Waverly Place) as new Commissioner Yindel, Paget Brewster (Criminal Minds) as Lana Lang, and Radio Hall of Fame member Michael Jackson as Alfred.

Batman: The Dark Knight Returns, Part 2 is set to hit DVD and Blu-Ray January 29th.

Just watched it...and MAN they kept the brutality!

It's actually quite unsettling seeing the Joker running through the love tunnel at the amusement park and just graphically shooting everyone he can, giggling away...

The second part leaked. I caught it, its cool as hell but felt very rushed, i wasn't sure with the first part if any cold war references were going to be made but they cleared that up in the second one, this movie def takes place in the 1980s version of a dystopian future. My whole gripe really was how underdeveloped Superman was in the movie, they have a few words in a few scenes prior but the comic book has scenes which weren't in the movie namely that Gotham became the safest city in the USA during the nuclear winter bc of Batman and the mutant gang, thats never really touched upon in the book, their meeting comes as kinda forced at the end. And while the fight is good, after superman gets hit with the kryptonite batman never lays a hand on him, in the comic he kicks the shit out of him after it happens. Also in the movie the nuke that Supes diverts goes off in space and creates an EMP which wipes out all power in the US, in the comic it goes off in the desert, kicking crap into the sky blocking out the sun which is why superman gets so weak, here it was the nuke itself that caused him to weaken. There was no nuclear winter in the movie, yet its snowing in gotham lol. I dunno, the second part was awesome and its good parts were much cooler than the first parts but when it ended I felt like i was expecting so much more and it never came

Wasn't a fan of Weller as teh voice actor :( This clip only makes it worse. I LOVED this set of books, I will enjoy the movie even with Weller's bad voice acting. I think Conroy ruined Batmans voice work for anyone to be honest. His was perfect.

I'm sorry, but Peter Weller is the worst Batman voice ever lol. PW is my dude. He's been great in most of his other roles, but Batman is not for him.

Awesome story and adaptation.

Wonder why they had the worst voice casting ever for Batman. He doesn't sound bad-ass as I imagined when reading the comic at the time.
