OPINION POLL: Who Should Do The Music Score For The Avengers?

With the soon to be epic summer CBM blockbuster of 2012, such a movie deserves a music score that brings the heart of Earth's Mightiest Heroes to life on the big screen. Who would be your favorite to do so?

With The Avengers filming wrapped up, I am curious as to who will be the film's music composer. Will we get to see one of the composers from a previous movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Will it be someone totally different? And who would you like to see taking up the job? Remember to post your opinions in the usual spot.

Craig Armstrong based on the fact his stuff sounds closest to the music heard in the Avengers teaser, and I think that style suits Avengers perfectly.

Plus how can you include someone on the list who will be busy doing TDKR next year? As much as I'd love to pee off the Batfans having Zimmer score Avengers, it's just logistically implausible.

idk, but it better be someone who understands that the score has to be beyond epic. If I don't like the music the movie is just meh!!!

either Steve Jablonsky or Hans Zimmer. I love piece of work from Jablonsky, his scores are truly epic, same with Zimmer

Danny Elfman did well with the Raimi Spider-man movies, maybe Jablonsky. No more Zimmer, too dark for Avengers anyway.

I wouldn't mind Jesper Kyd to do it. He hasn't done a couple of big things for a while that his been recognised with. Avengers could be a good thing for him.

... Seriously? Is the CBM community full of teenagers now? Hans Zimmer? Who just does the most MINIMAL work in his company while his employees do the most work?

John Williams, hands down. If they want this movie to be epic, the score should be done by perhaps the BEST composer of the modern classical music.

Yeah i'd say John Williams. Although I would love me some Jo Blankenburg.

Surprise Henry Jackman isn't on the list; in hindsight the entire X-Men First Class soundtrack he did would of worked better for the Avengers in terms of its taste.

But seeing the choices, it is either Brian Taylor, Ramin Djawdi, Steve Jablonsky, Hans Zimmer, or Alan Silverstri. The best choice I have to give is either Steve Jablonsky (I really do like the scores he gave for Dark of the Moon) and Brian Taylor (like to see how he handles with scoring this movie); Alan Silverstri and Ramin Djawdi already had their share of scoring super hero movies and Hans Zimmer is starting to get a tad overated.

@Choppaholic26
Jo Blankeriburg seems interesting, but I think he should be best used for the Guardiens of the Galaxy movie.
