Anyone voting for Batman seriously needs to actually pick up a comic book. This is completely retarded that anyone votes for him in some of these match ups. There is nothing he has on him that would allow him to survive a chance encounter with Colossus... NOTHING. To deny that simply shows your ignorance regarding comics. I agree with WellDrawn, Batman, as much as even I love the character, shouldn't even be included in these polls since by admission of some users they vote for him as a gimmick. Therefor I ask Pollmaster, please stop putting him in the polls as there are dozens of(forgive me for this) morons who will vote for him simply because he is Batman and based on no other knowledge than that. The fact is that Bats wouldn't have a chance against a large portion of super-powered characters without his key ability of preparation. 1 punch, and Bats is crippled worse than Knightfall by Colossus.

Due to the enviorment Batman could possibly pull out a win here vs Colossus. Bats could trap Colossus in a car crusher or giant scrap magnets. On the other hand one punch, if landed, would distroy Bats.

MoonDoggy, lol I dunno if it's that silly bud. I'm sure once Bruce saw the Osmium plating coat Colossus, he'd have an "Oh shit" moment and attempt to find alternate means of defeating him. Now to say he could avoid Colossus indefinitely is a bit silly. He requires no food or air while in this form and is immune to psionic and telepathic intrusion. Additionally, his stamina is near limitless and his strength and durability put him in the same league as Thing and Hulk(by those characters own admission) and is extremely fast, deceptively so in comparison to his size. Stack all that with years of combat training from the likes of Wolverine and Cyclops, and you have a force that Bats just can't compete with.

I'm sure because of the whole "Batman always win" thing everyone put the burden on Batman to win the fight. I really think, in character, Batman wouldn't even try to fight him, especially directly. So my thought was whether or not Colossus could really catch Batman. I don't think he can...

I think that in any of this vs fights involving Batman, the rule should be that there is NO PREP TIME and he only haves with him the standard equipment in his utility belt according to the DC wiki. And that equipment is the following:

Who's a better fighter? Batman. Who's the better strategist? Batman. Who's strongest? Colossus. Who's been the strongest his whole life and is therefore probably lazy and arrogant? Colossus. Batman turned down a Green Lantern power ring on multiple occasions on the belief that it would make him lazy and arrogant and careless. In an arc of Ultimate X-Men called Blockbuster by Brian Michael Bendis, Spiderman tells Wolverine that if he didn't have that healing factor, he'd probably get shot less, meaning Wolverine is somewhat careless because of his ability. It's not his fault though. It's natural. Anyone with a healing factor or a supposed invulnerability will be inherently careless.
Batman's strategy would be enough to claim a quick victory. As soon as I see this match-up, I instantly think: hit him where it hurts. What is Colossus trying to protect with his metal skin? His internal organs. I know his internal organs are osmium as well, but the inner ear still functions the same or else he wouldn't be able to hear in his metal state. Thus a sonic weapon will work, completely annihilating his balance, maybe we get some vomiting too. And before that, the battle is gonna take place wherever Batman wants, because he's strategically sound enough to know to maneuver Colossus into a point of weakness. Probably on a bridge. Batman uses a sound weapon, like he's used on Superman in the past. But it doesn't have to be some fancy sound device, a simple flash-bang grenade would do the trick, and Colossus becomes instantly more manageable. Now Batman isn't going to start punching and kicking Colossus, but he can drop his off-balance opponent into the river where it will take Colossus some time to walk out since he can't swim.
Now, this may not be a win in the way some of you want, but it's certainly not a loss. And it's not unprecedented either. The young Roman general Scipio Africanus used the same strategy to defeat Hannibal. He destroyed New Carthage, then the farming zones of Carthage eliminating Hannibal's base of power and forced Hannibal to come to him. This is after Hannibal dominated the other armies of Rome to the point that their only strategy was to delay and avoid.
The battle of Heracles and Antaeus. Antaeus gained power when he came into contact with the earth so whenever he was thrown down he would get stronger. Then, he threw himself down on purpose and grew stronger still. Finally, Heracles lifted him up and cracked his spine and held him aloft until he died.

Your opponents stand behind a wall, which protects them from strangers and intruders. Do not hit your head against the wall or lay siege to it; find the pillars and supports that make it stand and give it strength. Dig under the wall, sapping its foundations until it collapses on its own.
That's basic stuff. Batman would not lose to Colossus.
