Avenger Heroclix...with a Skrull?

Check out some of the Heroclix for the upcoming movie, The Avengers, that just so happens to include a Skrull. Marvel has vehemently denied they're in the film but the evidence keeps mounting.

Can it be that the Skrulls will show up in the Avengers? Has Marvel and Joss Whedon been tricking us? These pictures of the Heroclix could be evidence that they might or it can just be one fans hope.

I don't think so. Perhaps, they're releasing modified version of non-movie characters as well (very common for movie tie-in toys). Additionally, the aliens we've seen in the trailers, spots, etc., look nothing like the Skrulls, especially the one that is featured in the image above.

@milo5- Yeah, its been posted since last years Comic-Con, butI still wonder how the glove will play out though.

Remember those times that Robin showed up in Batman Returns and Deathstroke showed up in The Dark Knight?

Oh wait, they weren't in those movies, just their toy lines...

Jolt17- Probably, considering they have Heimdall in these pictures.

There are no Skrulls in this movie.

Quit thinking toys are a reliable source.

You know what would suck? If these were aliens just for the movie not ones from the comic
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 4/6/2012, 4:51 AM
First of all, they have already said the aliens ARE in the comics, just not very well known.

2nd, they have also said that the aliens are not just fodder for this movie, they will have an impact on future marvel movies as well.

3rd, toy lines based on movies almost always have some extra characters that do not actually show up in the movie.

Having said that, i think it would be awesome if Coulson was shown to be a "Skrull Infiltrator". Either at the end, or the after credits scene. Think about it. We're shown that he's a Skrull, they can show him transform and send a transmission to other Skrulls. Then the next few years of solo movies can have a few skrulls revealed inside the solo movie plots, just to build toward Avengers 2.

I think the more important thing is Heimdal might be returning. We have already seen the aliens and they are clearly not the skrull
BatSlam
BatSlam - 4/6/2012, 6:23 AM
If Heimdal is in the film, it is only for minutes, probably while thor is returning, possibly at the end if Asgard and Odin decide to send some Asgardian warriors to help the Avengers Beat the shit out of Loki and his army that he has most likely brought to Earth.

Which would be a pretty sweet way to finish the battle, in the scene where the Avengers are in a circle looking around them, basically looking surrounded. Boom the portal sends a fleet of Asgard warriors into the streets of New York.

If the Skrull is in the film, wouldn't Heimdall be as well? I guess it would be possible for both of them to be in there but I don't know. Joss did confirm there wouldn't be any Skrull's I believe. That said, I think they lied that Loki wouldn't be in the film as well.

The Skrull doesn't have an Avengers emblem on it. It's probably from a different set.

seems rather unlikely now that it had been denied that its about skrulls, what if they made Coulson as the Baron Zemo?

Mar'vel keeps saying the aliens in the trailer aren't Skrulls, and they probably aren't, but they never said there could be one skrull infiltrator that will set up MCU 2.0 !!! I mean they are doing it in the cartoon.

I'd have to agree with Jolt17 here. I don't think those aliens in the movie are Skrulls. . .
@sexfoodcomics, as much as we all would love that, to a general audience I feel as though there would be an alien fatigue. . . . "Oh and then this OTHER alien. . . "
There should be some other enemy to fight than Aliens in the next Avengers movie. I could see THanos (pretty much an alien, I know), and I would LOVE to see Ultron.
Have Jarvis turn into the Vision (Tony Stark made, instead of introducing a out of date character Hank Pym), and then Ultron spawn from that somehow, or have Tony make another copy of VIsion. I know the Vision was created by Ultron in the comics, but the Jarvis to Vision thing would be sweet.

Getting rather sick of Tin Man's greater empowerments. Just because he's popular shouldn't detract that he isn't on a par with Thor. I hate the Hulk but I freely admit he's the strongest there is, and Thor is on a par with him in terms of strength(but not as strong), endurance and regenerative abilities. So why is Ironman at a Thor level?? By Odin's beard stick to the source material, the history of the comics.

are people seriously still believing skrulls are in this movie... they have made it perfectly clear through numerous photos that those aliens are not skrulls... theres no lie or conspiracy or misdirection... they are not skrulls period

I read on another site, that the Aliens are the DENUIR... when Loki falls off of the "rainbow bridge" he appearantly lands in this "negative zone" that is inhabited by the DENIUR? I dont know...Maybe someone who has more inste than me can answer???

in the new trailer when hulk jumps through the window he has nothing in his hand then a frame later he has a humanoid figure in his hand and then he smashes into the building and gets shot, hits back etc.....
but if you freeze frame on the character in hulks grasp as he jumps, the character looks smaller than the other aliens and im sure he is wearing purple pants....just sayin...

that skrull above has a resemblance to Coulson, who lets face it has been quite unimpressed with any of the shenanigans so far!

Just so you guys know, this set is made up of characters from Thor, Captain America and the Avengers. There is a 40 figure set coming out in 2 weeks. That is why you see Heimdall. In the full set there is Fandral, Volstagg, The Destroyer, Red Skull. Take it for what it is, less than a month now...
