Brandon Molale Has Auditioned To Play CGI Hulk In The Avengers?

According to Brandon Molale's official twitter account, the actor has auditioned to do the motion capture for Hulk in The Avengers! This presumably means Mark Ruffalo will only be portraying Bruce Banner in human form...

This seems to clash with what Mark Ruffalo had previously said about being the first person to "actually play the Hulk". So perhaps the film-makers decided his body wouldn't work well enough with motion capture and have decided to go with someone more muscular? It's worth noting that Ruffalo and Molale do look reasonably similar (facially).



What do you CBMers think about this? Are you intrigued that we'll potentially be having three actors pool into the same character (Ruffalo, Ferrigno, and maybe Molale)?

Cool. He may have the motions down a little better since he will move more like a big muscle bound guy naturally and he has the large football line-men experience to pose and perform unique powerful movements which may be what there looking for in the Hulk.

I’m cool with them getting someone other than Ruffalo to do the motion capture of the Hulk, and it make sense, you get someone more athletic to do the running and jumping etc. Who ever gets mad at this news is just nitpicking

I want the Hulk to look like he did in INcredbile Hulk, Long hair, And dark green. It looked AMAZING. Plz no lime green Ang lee Hulk.

Isn't Lou Ferrigino suppose to do Hulks voice? I hope he does, and we get a talking hulk

Finally, they might have found him a role he has the chops for. A CGIed beast with little to no dialog. Seriously, he may "look" like Captain Marvel should, but he could never pull off the part. He had trouble convincing me he was a goon in Rundown, for [frick]'s sake.

this makes no sense at all....i mean norton looked nothing like the HULK...and so neither should ruffalo. its bad enuf that they have changed the banner.....are they now going to change the look of the hulk? thats a terrible idea..... if they do i hope the extent of the change ends up being the hulks hair do. do not change the body or face.....keep it the same as the last movie.

May be due to Ruffalo's scheduling or maybe they need to work on the Hulk motion capture while Ruffalo is filming Banners scenes.
@marcolanni the Hulk keeps getting batter looking. Compare the new Hulk to the 2003 version, it's night and day. They will continue to tweak the character. Hopefully the new one will be a little less ripped and Veiny IMO.

MANofSHAZAM....yes they already ruined the continuity....but it will be double trashed if they completely change the look of the actual HERO....you would think that they would at least not want to REBOOT the look of the hulk for this new movie. Who knows what MARVEL is thinking.....perhaps they forgot how to.

(yes, I know they both have 2 eyes, a nose and a mouth... :P ;))

Anyway, looking alike is far from being a requirement for motion capture.
