The Hawkeye poster was designed by Tom Whalen and features Hawkeye with his familiar bow. Only 220 were created.

For Black Widow, Mondo got famed designer Olly Moss to create the minimalist poster. The striking red-black-and-white print features a profile of Johansson's face, with her red lips replaced with a gun. The tag line reads: "From Russia with Gun," a play on both the famed James Bond movie as well as Widow's origins. Only 320 will be on sale.

The posters go on sale April 19 (Black Widow) and 20 (Hawkeye). It's reported by Huffington Post that 5 more posters were commissioned and will be revealed in the coming days as well.

The Avengers is an upcoming American superhero film produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. It is the sixth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film is written and directed by Joss Whedon and features an ensemble cast, which includes Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson. In The Avengers, Nick Fury, director of the peacekeeping organization S.H.I.E.L.D., recruits Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, and Captain America to save the world from destruction.

Development of The Avengers began when Marvel Studios received a grant from Merrill Lynch in April 2005. After the success of the film Iron Man in May 2008, Marvel announced that The Avengers would be released in July 2011. With the signing of Scarlett Johansson in March 2009, the film was pushed back for a 2012 release. Whedon was brought on board in April 2010 and rewrote the screenplay that was originally written by Zak Penn. Production began in April 2011 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, before moving to Cleveland, Ohio in August 2011 and New York City in September 2011. The film was converted to 3D in post-production.

The Avengers is scheduled for release on May 4, 2012 in the United States in 2D and 3D.

Not gonna lie...that Black Widow poster is pretty freaking spectacular. I'm pretty much sold on a solo movie just from that.

Black Widow's not Russian in this movie though... She's Scarlett Johansson... The one bit of casting that I despise.

Please stop with the info that Merrill Lynch gave Marvel Studios a grant. I know that Wikipedia says that but it is so completely wrong. It never happened.

If you want to quote something accurate from Wikipedia try this, "Marvel entered into a non-recourse financing structure with Merrill Lynch Commercial Finance Corp. that is collateralized by certain movie rights to a total of 10 characters from Marvel's vast vault. Marvel gets $525 million to make a maximum of 10 movies based on the company's properties over eight years, according to the parameters of the original deal with Paramount Pictures in September 2004."

@LordHuck: I don't know how they could have translated the costume to the big screen, but without the mask or anything he is just Jeremy Renner in a Shield outfit.

So to build off of what fanboy03191 said, we have four Avengers plus Scarjo and Jeremy Renner.

I wanna know how much these will eventually be sold for. I'd pay a GRIP for the 'Black Widow' one. That's the best Mondo piece I've ever seen, despite it's minimalism.

@jimoakley666 Yeah I completely agree with you. I think Hawkeye looks awesome just the way he is. Imagine him in that ridiculous costume from the comics? It wouldn't translate well to the big screen AT ALL. You'd have people leaving the theater cracking jokes about how stupid Hawkeye looked and how they couldn't take him seriously.
