Chris Evans To Be Recast In AVENGERS II For Being A Traitor JOKES Chris Hemsworth

The Avengers is opening strong and will assuredly break box office records but the film's release also means we're sadly, winding down on our coverage. Here's a humorous interview with the cast about who is their favorite superhero.

By now I'm sure you know, The Avengers was great! You can read my glowing review by clicking, here. However, with the release comes the sobering fact that the long road to Earth's Mightiest Heroes assembling on the big screen is over. But before we move on, let's here from the cast one more time about the film and their experience, thanks to Buzzine. There's some interesting answers as well as some very funny banter between Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth.

QUESTION: The Avengers deals with unifying some strong personalities. Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, Hawkeye, and Black Widow are all used to working on their own, in entirely different circumstances. One could say the same for such a star-power ensemble cast. Were you afraid of egos clashing?

Chris Hemsworth: Don’t look anyone in the eye, there were a few rules with Chris [Evans] especially.

Chris Evans: That’s right, never look me in the eye.

Hemsworth: Keep a perimeter around him, don’t touch him.

Evans: Don’t talk to me directly.

QUESTION: Who is your favorite superhero?

Evans: I like Iron Man. I had a crush on him. I do, I just thought he was so good and so...

Hemsworth: And he’s the godfather of this whole enterprise.

Evans: We owe him and if he didn’t do what he did with that role, we wouldn’t be making these movies. So I like him, but I also like Superman too. Is that like sacrilegious to say?

Hemsworth: Oh, what?!

Evans: [to self] DC... bite your traitor tongue.

Hemsworth: You will be re-cast for that one right?

Evans: Chris Pine will be playing Captain America in The Avengers II.

QUESTION: Besides, of course, The Hulk, who is your favorite superhero?

Mark Ruffalo: I always loved Iron Man, and X-Men was probably my second favorite comic book series, Frank Miller’s X-Men and I really actually loved Wolverine quite a bit. He was probably my favorite.

QUESTION: Do you think there will be another Avengers movie?

Ruffalo: You could only hope so -- but this [one] is good and you never know what the future’s going to bring, but I think we are all set up for another Avengers movie. It would be nice to see. I’d love to do another one with Joss, that’s for sure. I think he really captures it well.

QUESTION: So other than your characters, who is your favorite superhero and why?

Jeremy Renner: I always liked Spider Man when I was a kid, I always tried to come up with some to make that happen and the confetti stuff -- that’s not a web.

Scarlet Johansson: I always liked Silver Surfer, which was probably a decent comic, I don’t even know. I just thought he was rad.

I just gleamed the more humorous content from the interviews. There's a bit more at the site including a few answers not included in the video. Be sure to click the source link below to read the full transcript.

The Avengers is an upcoming American superhero film produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, based on the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name. It is the sixth installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Development of The Avengers began when Marvel Studios received a grant from Merrill Lynch in April 2005. After the success of the film Iron Man in May 2008, Marvel announced that The Avengers would be released in July 2011. With the signing of Scarlett Johansson in March 2009, the film was pushed back for a 2012 release. Production began in April 2011 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, before moving to Cleveland, Ohio in August 2011 and New York City in September 2011. The film was converted to 3D in post-production.

Whedon did an amazing job, and the actors worked as a team just like the Avengers should.

Can't wait to see it again, and bring on Avengers 2!

I was also quite startled for a second. It was like "WHAT?! No! Why- oh. ok. phew"

Chris and Chris are good together. They're often paired up for these interview and seem to get along well. Maybe we should have more of them together in Avengers 2.

@Intruder: Welcome back asshole. ;)

And if they ever had to recast Cap in a future Marvel film (which I REALLY hope they don't), Pine would be a decent choice. Though I better see him as Flash or Daredevil.

Marvel is trying so hard to leave DC and Justice league with nothing to work with. Stealing everything from them like always. Taking the idea and just switching stuff. What brings the League together alien invasion and the guy that looks just like Darkseid at the end of the avengers. Goodness its crazy. Im surprised DC aint already sued Marvels ass again
