SPARTACUS Alum Liam McIntyre Spotted On THE FLASH Set As The New 'Weather Wizard'

We've heard that the Weather Wizard would make an appearance in The Flash at some point following his brother's appearance in the pilot, and it appears as if Liam McIntyre has been cast as the member of the Rogues based on this new set photo! Hit the jump to check it out...

It appears as if Spartacus actor Liam McIntyre has joined the cast of The Flash. We met Clyde Mardon in the pilot, so McIntyre is presumably playing his brother Mark. It's strange that we've heard nothing about this casting, but PUNKD Images are reliable, so the actor has more than likely been cast as Weather Wizard if they're saying he was spotted on set in this villainous role. Hopefully this means we'll get official confirmation soon regardless. What do you guys think?

Flash's Rogues gallery have the stupidest names of any Supervillain group. It boggles my mind that people put them up there with Batman's and Spider-Man's.

Between Arrow and the Flash, seems like all the Spartacus actors will have a new home. John Hannah and Nick E. Tarabay being cast in roles is probably imminent.

It's like they are only hiring Spartacus and Prison Break actors for these shows; I don't mind though.

The Flash is a SMASH HIT!!!


It feels good to have a superhero show that actually has a superhero with superpowers battling super villains with superpowers. Not only that, but the daily 'Dr. Wells secret agenda' scenes keeps me interested. I always anticipate what more else going to be revealed about Dr. Wells. Can't wait to see Gorilla Grodd in action.

So it's official Flash/Arrow universe is a Spartacus/Prison Break crossover with superheroes :D

I like the guy, but like @P862010 said, I would be more happy if he has joined Arrow (but Flash is cool too) ;)

@havenless well obviously someone did make them up sense they exist, the "you can't make these up" only works if the thing or things you are describing is in fact not made up. And if you don't like the names then you can just turn the channel once your Dr Phil is over and the tv says up next The Flash!

Yes! I knew ever since Manu Bennet was cast Liam would probably join, but I never expected Cythia Robbinson, Katrina Law, and Nick Tarabay to come along too! Now all we need is Dustin Clare. The original actress for Naevia, Lesley-Ann Brandt was on Gotham too. I would have loved Liam as this universes Batman though. [frick] you WB for not not allowing Batman in the DC/CW universe.

I agree, I really like Mirror Master's unique powerset, but it's the names specifically that are just so bad. Lots of characters have updated their names as the times have changed. Ms Marvel is now Captain Marvel, Ant-Mam now mostly just goes by Pym, even Marvel Girl is never called that anymore.

Flash's rogues gallery could use name changes across the board. Take a page from Reverse Flash.

I've thought about it and Mirror Master is impossible to pull off unless they go with a different version of his powers/skills/weapons like they have already done with the Pied Piper

Every popular character has stupid villains. But take out the list I mentioned from Flash, and how does it impact the rogues gallery? Take out your Spider-Man list, and it has zero impact.

The fact is the Flash's bad villain names are his better villains.

@Havenless If you actually read The Flash comic you would come to understand that Captain Cold is one of the most interesting villains in all comics. And that the Rogues should get their own comic. Also the Goblins have been pretty important to Spider-Man.

I hope they go with his real powers though, I would love to see them do a version of the mirror world.
