BOX OFFICE: AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Has Already Passed $200 Million Worldwide
Avengers: Age of Ultron is already off to an amazing start at the international box office, grossing upwards of $200 million in just a matter of days. Hit the jump for details on that and some thoughts on how well the sequel is going to perform when it reaches North America and China...
Avengers: Age of Ultron has opened with an amazing $201.2 million worldwide after just a few days of release. The sequel is outpacing The Avengers by 44%, and has so far only actually debuted in 44 markets. There are still many more to go, including North America next Friday (where it's expected to gross upwards of $200 million during its opening weekend). It reaches China on May 12th, another territory which will give the movie a massive boost. The chances of it topping the $1.5 billion haul of The Avengers are looking very good at this point. Avengers: Age of Ultron was #1 in all territories, and those at the top were South Korea ($28.2M), the UK ($27.3M), Russia ($16.2M), Brazil ($13.1M), Australia ($13.1M), and France ($12.4M).
