Rutina Wesley recently landed a recurring role in season four of Arrow, and now Entertainment Weekly has revealed that she will play Liza Warner. She's a reletively obscure character from the comics better known as Lady Cop (seriously). She debuted in the 1970s and was basically just a female police offer who solved crimes. However, she'll have a little more than that to do in The CW series as "Arrow’s spin on the character is said to be surprisingly different as she will be a member of the anti-vigilante task force." It sounds like Star City PD aren't happy about Oliver Queen's return as the Green Arrow! Wesley joins a number of new cast members which include Jimmy Akingbola as Baron Reiter, Neal McDonough as Damien Darhk, Alexander Calvert as Anarky, Echo Kellum as Mister Terrific, Falk Hentschel as Hawkman, and Casper Crump as Vandal Savage.

Cop Vs. Arrow again!

Whenever Oliver does come back to Star City, won't they know its Oliver as Arrow for sure? I mean he leaves and no more Arrow....comes back to city Arrow is back. On top of that won't he be the first suspect seeing as they thought it was him initially?

How is it vapid and idiotic to take a forgotten minor character from the 70's and reimagine
it into a new character,based on the original concept,but of a different race?

That's like getting mad that Arkham Origins reimagined Copperhead (another largely forgotten character)
into a female.

i had been hoping Marvel would snap her up to play blades daughter in a netflix series!
that way they could bring snipes back (as he is too good as blade to just replace) but give him a slightly diminished role!

Lame and they race changed, DC does this more than any of the two. Yet, no fan rage? Worse, they actually change the race of a characters, the other comic just passes the mantle around.

I'll pass on this crap, I thought DC was going to pull some minority character off the island of Marzal where they collect dust.
