Badass Digest's Devin Faraci was one of the first to bring us the news that
The Avengers would be facing off against the Skrulls in the upcoming superhero ensemble while Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige actually told him directly that Fox own only the right to the Super Skrull while in fact Marvel own the rest of the Skrull Empire.
Here's what he's now had to say in regards to the still unrevealed alien villains.
"Well, it turns out that either he was jumping the gun or someone in legal didn't want to test the difference between those two concepts, and the aliens in The Avengers have been rebranded as something else, as well as redesigned."
So, is this just a guess or even more details from his "close source" to Marvel? That's not completely clear, although this would certainly make some sense after the slew of recent rumours which has pegged Loki's army from everything to a new Joss Whedon created race, Atlanteans, Kree and the "Redacted" among others.
