Electro has always been one of my favorite Spidey villains. Hopefully we'll get to see him In a sequel in Webb's Amazing Spider-Man films. Badass

Black Lightning, Kermit, Blade. They were all design inspirations for a character that has more potential than Marvel has every used him for.

I miss the old Electro mask. I know it could never look good in reality, but THAT'S why you use it in the COMICS. Ditto for Hawkeye.

Or is Thor "Dead" again? It's been a while since I read comics so I could be wrong but isn't spidey an Avenger of some sort now?

Also...the sinister six again? How about something new or at least a new lineup geesh..."what promises to be one of the biggest stories of the year"...only with re-rehashed villain group

They lost me as a spidey fan on brand new day...and this does nothing to change my mind.

Can anyone here give me a reason why I should give this a chance?

This looks awesome! Dan Slott is doing an amazing run,and really has the character down.Ive always liked Electro,but felt theyve never fully realized the character.I think Slott has the right idea,with him being "power incarnate".

I love Dell'Otto's work and his Electro cover looks a lot better than the Doc Ock one posted yesterday. I'm not a fan of the current Electro look, though. The bald look reminds me too much of the Ultimate universe's Electro and that collar DOES make him look like Kermit the frog, like AgentDelta said. I know I may be one of the few who thinks this, but I still think Electro looks a lot better with his mask on.

I'm loving these designs. The illustration of Spidey and his villians are quite stunning. Whoever's doing the drawing of this comic series needs to keep doing it.

StuartGreen@ seriosuly - whats with the face "tatoo"? i mean, i know you're a super powered criminal but talk about making a comitment there... they should have just come up with a way to make a more menacing mask while still infusing the lightning bolts..

oh well, not gonna complain to much about b-listers! cover looks great!

While I have nothing against the costume revisions as seen in this cover, I agree with several of you here about liking the classic-look Electro. His classic look reminds me of the advertising character used by our electric company when I was a kid. There was always just something funny about imagining that silly ad character turning evil.
