Because I'm sure Howard Stark must have told Tony how he saved their lives. It just seems like a backwards character arc for him from Iron Man 2. That would be something I would expect him to say after the original Iron Man, but not after the second one. Plus where did my comment go lol? Also, the video has stopped working for me.

It seems like a juvenile put down, you know? I expect them to get into it, but I'm not a fan of those choice of words. Then again, I have no context for the scene. I don't know what led up to it, but like I said, it seems like he has regressed since the second Iron Man. If that is the case then I would be disappointed.

Yeah, I thought about that. But, I mean how could you not talk about Captain America. The vibe I got from Howard, was he idolized the guy to some extent. Oh well, like I said it sounded a little juvenile, and something I would expect him to say after the original Iron Man. Perhaps, it is after the fight the three of them got into, and it is a heat of the moment thing. But, it's just my first reaction to it. With no context, I'm not really dwelling on it. It hasn't changed my opinion on the movie one bit.

I understand Tony wasn't close to his dad at all. But, like I said I would expect to at least tell him about Captain America. Again, that is just my opinion.

As for Iron Man 2, I probably need to re watch. I haven't watched it in over a year, but I remember Tony being humbled in that movie. Perhaps it is his competitive juices flowing being around the other heroes. I mean, with three big ego's there is definitely going to be some conflict for the Alpha dog position.

Like I said out of context, THAT particular insult seems a little out of character. But that is based off the assumption that Howard mentioned Captain America to him.

Yeah I guess Tony was still a dick. I'm now recalling the last scene with him and Fury, where he was still an ass. I have seen so many movies since Iron Man 2, perhaps I will revisit it this weekend while the wife is out of town.

Except Tony probably had a pretty good idea of who Captain America was, if not as an actual person because, if you look in Iron Man 2, there's the first ever Captain America comic book issue amongst all the other stuff his dad left behind.

I think that might be the direction they're going for, in the films. Captain America seems almost unreal, more like a legend than an actual person. To an extent, he is, and to see that he's merely this regular guy makes it difficult to make that correlation.

So...Tony Stark probably respects Captain America, just doesn't like the person Steve Rogers, and that's an interesting take to have in the movie-verse.

As long as it doesn't come out that Peggy is Tony Starks mother I will be happy. The last thing we need is the whole, "your mother would be so ashamed of you line."

Did they mention Tony's mothers name in either Iron Man movie? I can't remember. Please don't bring up the comics guys, I just want to know if it was in the movie.

Looks like Thor is speaking to Bruce Banner, "You speak of control, yet you cause chaos!". So I assume this scene happen after the Hulk vs Thor fight.(which make the previous spoilers sounds more legit)
