Marvel recently teased plans to release all of their "Phase One" movies in an epic box set, and this is most definitely far more impressive than the usual "six slipcases in a cardboard sleeve" deal that fans are used to buying. MTV Splash Page have revealed the first full official image of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One Blu-ray set which is set to be released this September in the US. As you can see, it will be a recreation of Nick Fury's case (which held the Tesseract in Marvel's The Avengers) and will include a few other extras by the looks of it too. Below is the image and the official blurb from Disney.

When it says limitd edition does it mean selling for a certain period of time or that there's only a certain number that were made to sell? I really want this but I just don't have the money ATM so I hope I don't miss out :/

I already own all the movies so far, however there are a couple of reasons I'm replacing them with this set

a) I only have the first Iron Man on DVD as it pre-dates when I got a blu ray player.
b) I don't have Thor or Cap on 3D Blu ray, as they pre-date the time I bought a 3D TV.
c) I have both Thor and Cap in limited edition steel-book on blu, so they'll probably fetch a decent sum on ebay.
d) I've paid 80 for single movies in limited edition packaging before (both Watchmen and Terminator 2), paying £100 for 6 in limited edition packaging seems like a bargain

This is exactly why I downloaded all the movies....I was waiting for this bad boy!!!!

I honestly thought almost everyone had switched to Blu-Ray from DVD already.....really surprised to see so many people talking about having purchased the DVDs.

Whatever, time to go place my pre-order :D
