Ahead of the release of Iron Man 3 in the UK on April 25th, we've teamed up with Disney and Marvel to offer one lucky reader the chance to win two tickets to the London premiere of the movie on April 17th. How? By proving to us that YOU are the biggest Iron Man fan out there...

Despite being considered a B-List character by comic book fans for many years, 2008's Iron Man took Tony Stark straight to the top of the A-List thanks to Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr. Perhaps that's why he's not only now one of Marvel's most popular characters, but also why Iron Man 3 is one of the most highly anticipated movies of 2013.

This time, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang director Shane Black takes the helm to bring the Armoured Avenger to the big screen for his fourth outing (including Avengers Assemble of course). Between the inclusion of the Extremis virus, Iron Patriot, The Mandarin and an entire Hall of Armours, there's an awful lot to look forward to in the threequel!

HOW TO ENTER

We've teamed up with Disney and Marvel to offer one lucky reader the chance to go to the UK premiere of Iron Man 3 on April 18th in London's Leicester Square. All you guys have to do is show us what makes you the biggest Iron Man fan! How exactly you do this is entirely up to you - you can send us a photo of an Iron Man themed collection which makes you stand out from the average fan, create an image showing us your take on the iconic Marvel superhero or just tell us about your devotion to Tony Stark!

As this is for the London premiere of Iron Man 3, the contest is obviously open only to UK residents. To enter, you can either post your submission in the comment section below, send it to us by clicking HERE or on Twitter by marking your entry with #IronManFanCBM. So, what are you waiting for? It's time to find out which of you is the #1 Iron Man fan! The closing date for this contest is April 12th, 2013.

ABOUT IRON MAN 3

Marvel’s Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale with Jon Favreau and Ben Kingsley, Iron Man 3 is directed by Shane Black from a screenplay by Drew Pearce and Shane Black and is based on Marvel’s iconic Super Hero Iron Man, who first appeared on the pages of Tales of Suspense (#39) in 1963 and had his solo comic book debut with The Invincible Iron Man (#1) in May of 1968.

Well I've got four pieces of stainless steel keeping my chest together after having had heart surgery a few years ago. I know it's no shrapnel nor do I have an arc reactor in my chest (yet?) but I do have a goatee like Stark and a bunch of Iron Man pics around my classroom (I'm a teacher)...

Please. I wont write a huge long paragraph. I have hundred of Marvel comics, him being the centre of most of them. I so badly want to meet Robert Downey Jr, the person who has brought to life Iron Man from a piece of paper.
Just to see him would be a dream come true.
Please. Thank you

Being Iron Mans Number one fan... Nobody can claim to be Iron mans number one fan because we all are. We all love Tony Stark for his arrogance, his charm, his wit and his pure dedication to not allowing people to be bullied by others and for never giving up no matter how disabled you are. I could show you a large pile of my comics but I thought, why not write something from the heart and give you an insight into why I love Tony Stark.
For me my love of Iron man/Tony Stark came from being different. Being a young girl and wanting to read comic books instead of playing with My Little Pony caused my childhood to be rather difficult. Now I am not playing the sympathy card but my point is, Iron man is different to other heroes, he is not afriad to show who he is outside the suit. He doesnt hide behind the concept of Iron man or shy away from who he is. He is open about being Iron man and about his values and beliefs. Whilst I was growing up it was his courage, humanity and sheer honestly which made him one of my favourites. The reason I am Tony Starks number one fan. Simple, he gives people hope in times where there is none. Even when he is suffering in pain and almost at the end he manages to show great strength of character and push on. This is something which makes him my favourite and most beloved character. It is Tony Stark the man behind the mask which shows me and others that its never too late to save the world, your never too old or hurt to make a difference. Tony Stark has a broken heart, a heart which needs assistance to work. Like many of us in the world we have disabilities and ailments but that doesnt stop us being capable of doing great things. Tony Stark may be a playboy, billionaire, philanthropist, but hes a human one who shows us you dont need super powers to be a hero. Iron man/ Tony is my hero for showing us to hope and never give up. He will always be my favourite and he always will be.

Here is a painting of Iron Man and Iron Patriot that I did recently, a long with my favourite Iron Man comic book storyline (which just so also happens to be the basis for Iron Man 3) as well as both films on DVD. I will admit that Iron Man wasn't my favourite Marvel hero UNTIL the 2008 film which started the whole MCU but now he is and forever will be at the top my list! Long live Tony Stark a.k.a Iron Man a.k.a Robert Downey Jr. ;)

I have no artistic skills whatsoever. So I probably have no chance. But hey, I've got nothing to lose. (Except a few hours when I could be studying, YOLO and whatnot.)

Tony Stark is renown for being one of the most "human" Marvel superheroes, particularly when compared to the other Avengers. People say he's the most relatable. (Yeah, because we're all billionaire industrialists/superheroes who could easily get several playboy bunnies in one night).
But seriously, in answer to Cap's question, without the suit Tony Stark is a real guy. He's human, he makes mistakes and he has a vulnerability that sets him apart in my mind. And his suits and stuff are AWESOME. I have on many occasions faced the wrath of judgmental checkout staff when buying various Iron Man toys- sorry, MERCHANDISE -, trying desperately to give off the "I'm buying this for my baby brother" vibe. I JUST WANTED AN ARM REPULSOR DAMMIT!

"I am Iron Man." Boom.
I've seen a quite a few superhero movies in my time, but never with such an ending. Let's face it, Robert Downey Jr. did wonders with that character. He basically epitomises everything that makes Tony Stark such a breath of fresh air: the wit, the charm, (perhaps not the height, I swear half the time he's standing on a phone book) and RDJ has made a few narrow escapes himself. They both have inner demons and I find that they share a tendency to use humour as a defence mechanism... Are they both as damaged as each other?
Both were struck with the realisation - "What the f*** have I been doing with my life?", and thankfully both made something of their lives since. Their stories are inspiring.

Why should you pick me?
I live in the dull, bleak land of Northern Ireland so I'd love to have the opportunity to go nuts at a big movie premiere, particularly a movie/franchise which means so much to me. Also, BEN KINGSLEY?!!! Nuff said.

If you bothered to scroll through all this, thank you very much for your time. I hope you will consider me. :)

I will start with the tip of the iceberg to give you an insight into the extent of my Iron Man obsession:
As I have always loved Converse shoes and they have unfortunately have teamed up with DC Comics instead of Marvel, I recently had the glorious idea of designing my very own Iron Man Converse Chucks. This proved to be rather difficult and very time consuming so that the shoes are still “in production”. The designs, however, are finished and the first one I now finally found a place where I can get them actually printed onto real converse (which will cost me a fortune but will definitely be worth it!). The second one I will try to paint onto my white Converse myself, as it is a little easier to paint. I already bought the textile markers for this, so I am really very serious about this. The tongue of the first design will show the red golden Iron Man writing that I used as background on the rest of the shoe. The tongue of the second shoe will probably show an Arc Reactor, although I’ve not decided yet which one.
This is probably the most extensive part of my obsession. To give you an even better idea about my extended, well probably more extensive fandom ;-), here are a few more facts me and my Iron Man obsession:
I go to work in my Stark Expo 2010 t-shirt (see pic), I have Iron Man coloured nails (see pic) and Iron Man wallpapers on my home computer and on my computer at work (much to the amusement of my colleagues). My Avengers poster, which I only really bought because of Iron Man being prominently in the picture, is actually framed. My alarm goes off to AC/DC’s Back in Black (seriously, what better way to wake up?). I bought an iPhone so I’d be able to put Iron Man themed cases on it (yes, seriously… I know…) as they don’t sell any good ones for Android phones. My phone is currently wearing an Avengers case and has a Jarvis background (see pic). I have two copies of each movie (Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Avengers Assemble) in order to get the digital copy, 90 minute documentary and to have back-ups. The bluray of “The Incredible Hulk” I only own for Tony Starks cameo at the very end.
I have been impatiently waiting for a date for the London premiere since the first teaser trailer for Iron Man 3 was released last October. When the premiere date was finally announced, I broke into a spontaneous dance, much to the surprise of my husband who was wondering what on earth was going on. The next day, I handed in a request for a leave of absence from work for the rest of that week to be able to camp out for the premiere, which I will do if I don’t win these tickets.
As I don’t have anyone remotely as crazy as myself and have already annoyed everyone in my social environment because I basically don’t talk about anything else anymore, I email on a daily basis with friends in the US and Australia to obsess with them about Iron Man. One of them especially sent me an Avengers t–shirt and the Iron Man Beanie Ballz ball for my car that I loved and couldn’t get in the UK (see pic).
As you can see, I managed to incorporate Iron Man literally into every aspect of my life. My next project after the shoes will be to convert our DVD shelf so that it has glass doors and looks as if one of the suits was in it (like in Tony’s workshop).
Those tickets would literally mean the world to me and would basically do anything to get them. So please, please please please, vote for me! :)
