Sorry Charlie! Hey, Id rather see The Avengers taking on The Hulk and trying to slow him down anyway. The 'Bully Beat down turning everybody into best friends' storyline is more appealing to people then an alien race coming to destroy Earth. Let's not throw the S right off the bat. Hopefully they will stick with the storyline in the Comics and detain the Hulk from Smashing everything in his peepers!

This seems to be a contradictory report from AvengersNews.com, who was the site to originally report that the Kree alien Captain Marvel would appear in The Avengers. Either way for me, it would be cool to see Captain Marvel but is not essential to the storyline and would not take anything away from The Avengers if he did not appear in the BIGGEST SUPERHERO CROSSOVER MOVIE of ALL TIME!.

Well if the Skrulls are still in the film, that would be cool. Doesn't matter to me, Skrulls or Chitauri, either one would make great alien villains for the film. As for the hulk as a villain, I want to see Hulk as a good guy not a bad guy. that woudl kinda tick off some of the audience including some fans of the movies.

They should at the very least mention the Krees in the film without showing them, leaving the door open for future cameos.

i hope there are other villains because like the old comics the hulk and thor should be a pretty even match , if they have the hulk running around beating the crap out of everyone in sight it will be bad . First it would make the hulk bad and second it would make thor look like a whimp . so if they go that route the movie to me will suck .

SixSixteen- The villain focal point will be the Skrulls but they have so much to do with the Kree that it would suck if they're never mentioned. They obviously don't need to feature the Kree but some info on their war against the Skrulls could be vital to the humans' victory as well as be a brilliant opened door for other Marvel Characters. It would be a shame to waste this opportunity IMO.

I doubt we will ever see a Kree/Skrull war in an Avengers Movie but we will see it in there own movie. I do believe Mahr-Vehl will be in the film.....but only if they go with the Skrulls. I did an article on the 2 possible plots.

The Kree/Skrull War would be a better story for the third movie, by which time non-readers will be familiar enough with the characters to tell this epic story without having to waste much time on backstory.

the article sounds like you might have the Kree and Skrulls confused. if not, then i apologize.

but the Kree wouldn't be invading, the Skrulls would.

Poni, I don't think the AvengersNews site said Ms Marvel and Captain Marvel would be in the film. I think they were just speculating on what characters the actors could play. Atleast that's how I read it. :)

It doesn't take much to have an Easter egg or mention of Skrulls or Krees (I would prefer the Skrulls) in the first Avenger, but that's all I care for in the first one. Just a little teaser to set up the next two.

At this point, I'm pretty sure that 'AvengersNews' are just making these stories up! Either way, I hope that neither the Skrulls or Kree will play a big part in The Avengers as I'd be much happier with the classic Hulk/Loki storyline!

I like the Hulk/Loki storyline. I'd prefer that over the Skrull invasion. Save that for later to make it a Big Damn Movie.

None of this makes any difference to me. None of it is official and seems like pure speculation.

I think if they do go with the Hulk going ape shit, they still need the Skrull element. Maybe an enhanced Skrull agent (not Super Skrull), impersonating the jolly green goliath and thus setting off the Avengers on the real Hulk. This could provide plenty of action while the sleeper cells from the Skrull home world continue on their real plan of attack. Methodically replacing several key figure heads in our governments. From local senators, to Shield agents or even the President.

So Jman, you did an article questioning another guy´s question?? That sounds more like Disbelief in someone else´s speculation.


And yeah, the weak support for the Kree involvement in the Avengers was already mentioned in yesterday´s Avengers poni article (that was more like a compendium of Confirmed-Unconfirmed scoops like this one anyway)

i wish the go with the hulk and loki story line! and just hint a lil of the skrulls, have them hidden in the story, like them being part of shield,


better that the kree or not in this one lets just focus on the intial story with all of this guys and bring them later for the sequel or their own movies 1st

@ckal - But that's just it. Hollywood doesn't think they need to explain an alien invasion story line. Everybody gets it. No long explanation for the villains' motivation, no killing time on origins or complex character development. People get shape shifting aliens, whether they've ever heard of the Skrull or not. These are just some of the reasons its going to be the Skrull.

Aliens in part 1! WOooooooooooooooo!

lol I really don't care as long as the movie is good. I would only accept the Skrulls if it is in part one though. The Avengers 2 should be Ultron being commissioned and activated with Pym going a little nuts and the fight him and Red Skulls return with the help of Arnim Zola and Hydra. The Avenger 3 a team of villains with the inclusion of Loki, Red Skull, and Mandarin(who would be in Iron man 3) returning. With the Help of The Leader. With this team Mandarin uses the Ultron Programming with the Destroyers mystical design and alien Tech to make Ultimo. Now that would make for a perfect trilogy. I would rather they don't use Loki for the first film unless it is to stir up a fight with other foes and not just the Hulk.

So if no Skrulls in part 1 then No Skrulls at all. Use them in a stupid FF4 reboot. I could really care less about the cosmic side of it all with the exception of a few characters but as a fan it is my duty to read and study as much of these characters tales as possible. So please no1 dare say I don't know my shizznit!

@Mclovin: I agree with you. Its all pure speculation none of us truly know. Yeah, the Skrulls need to be mentioned in a very subtle way much like how there are so many easter eggs in Iron-man 2.

That way they could gradually build up to a Skrull vs. Kree smackdown finale in the next few movies and feature our Kree favorites. The Skrulls are among us.... :(
