With Guardians of the Galaxy just two weeks from its August 1st premiere, Avengers: Age of Ultron nearing post-production to open May 1, 2015, Ant-Man on track to start filming next month for its July 17, 2015 release, and Captain America 3 set for May 6, 2016, Marvel Studios is ready to expand the cinematic universe with five more films through 2019. "Look forward to new films hitting theaters July 28 and November 3, 2017; July 6 and November 2, 2018; and May 3, 2019," reveals the official announcement. Given that San Diego Comic-Con is right around the corner (next week to be exact), Kevin Feige and co. will likely give those five new dates official titles during their Hall H panel on Saturday night. It's worth noting that Marvel/Disney had previously secured a second 2016 movie for July 8th, which Variety reports is for the Doctor Strange movie. In addition, Disney also slotted an untitled Marvel Studios movie last year for May 5th, 2017, now making that year the very first in which they will release three films. For the other newly-revealed dates, we can expect Thor 3 and The Avengers 3, at least. Maybe Black Panther too? What do you think?

Something tells me Marvel weren't going to announce all of these until they heard the DC rumors

YES! Great to hear that release dates are set. I think the Cap 3/BvS thing scared them, and that's why they don't have anything in May 2018, because they fear that Justice League may go there. I personally think Avengers 3 will be held off to 2019 to give them more time for solo films, and now it looks like that will be true.

So, did they change the May 2017 movie to July, or will there be three movies that year?

Wait doesn't Avengers 3 come out in 2018? If so then the 2019 film is part of Phase Four.

That's what I want to know as well. Could Marvel be moving to do 3 movies a year?

Cap 3 is already announced for may 2016, and there was already a spot reserved for may 2017. That was known last year.

If they don't say there won't be a movie on May 2017 maybe it's because they'll make 3 movies that year.
And maybe Avengers 3 will come out in 2019 because they want to make more movies before that, like Ms Marvel, B Panther and Guardians 2

If one of them is for Leather Boy's solo film...I'll be happy.

I also want to say it was this year that they had three release dates booked, but obviously they're only doing two movies. Point being, even when they have three dates it doesn't guarantee three films.

Cool I guess, but I'd be more excited if Phase 2 had been better (besides Winter Soldier). Still happy.

Holy sh*t-- May 2019???? There's no way they'd do Avengers 3 in July or November of 2018... Damn Phase Three is going to be BIG
