While a few A-listers are finalizing negotiations to star in Suicide Squad, new details have emerged regarding when and where the DC Comics adaptation will be filming. According to Global News and other reliable sources, Warner Bros. and director David Ayer will commence principal photography in mid-April next year, and expect to wrap by the end of August. As far as where, the production will be based at Pinewood Toronto Studios in Toronto, Canada, and there will also be filming taking place at various locations in and around the city. Like all major comic book movies, Suicide Squad will try to throw us off its scent by using a fake production title whilst filming, but that is already revealed to be Bravo 14. Anyhow, Will Smith, Tom Hardy, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, Jai Courtney and Jessie Eisenberg are all reportedly in talks for roles in Suicide Squad. And based on the DC Comics team of supervillains who take on missions for the government in exchange for shortened prison sentences, the film is scheduled  for release on August 5, 2016. @MantiniumBorn
I want him to play Deadshot in that level of acting !! if he does, he would freaking nail it...
Jai Courtney is ok.. to look at but acting wise.. find him boring..

Wow, Toronto, huh? It looks like Suicide Squad won't be based on Assault on Arkham after all.

I'm happy about that. Them running around Arkham for the whole movie would be kind of boring IMO.

The Suicide Squad will be out and about in the city for their mission.

I was thinking since they are going to have joker and harley in this it kind of throws out that no jokes rumor because you can't do joker and harley and its not funny.

So is Will Smith going to be playing Black Manta? The only casting that i dislike is Jai Courney, i saw him in Die Hard 5 and his acting attributed towards the terrible movie.

Also, i feel like i'm the only one who does not like Harley Quin, i find her voice highly annoying it's like nails on a chalkboard.

@MantiniumBorn I could see there being a first op to introduce the team(to see how the team performs in the field), but after that, the next one would probably be the central op that drives the story.

@mgeoff68 Just because its filming in Toronto doesnt mean its not Arkham. They could easily do the bulk of filming in Toronto using some Detroit establishing shots. In fact Toronto is a fantastic stand in for most locales and the traditinal Arkham island doesnt really fit in with Detroit. They could also use it as iron heights or Belle Reve.

I never pictured this as the movie to be released between BvS and Justice League.
