Not liking the microfigures. Seems like the type of shit that could easily be lost and hard to find.

@ImTheDoctor This isn't a LEGO ideas set. Lego has been planning to make this set for a while now. It's a Ulimate Collector Series set, not Ideas.

@ImTheDoctor

Actually, it's not. As far as I know there was a Lego Ideas set Helicarrier project, but it was turned down because Lego was already making this set. The same thing happened with Brent Waller's Lego Tumbler because of TDKR Lego set (which had a Tumbler).

And Lego's wasn't even a great Tumbler:

I like Legos and all but this is on the front page as like the top four news articles at the moment. Show the Hot toys Thanos figure or some new Marvel Select figures maybe? I like Hasbro but they have done a eeeh job with the action figures lately, and the price hike is up 100% compared to the more artistic Toybiz content. There are a good set of 'electronic' figures but the quality of those 'Barbie' heroes in a box is so low they don't even fully paint them.

Digital age is killing the classic figure; 24.99 for a fully articulated 6 inch? Then you have to buy five to create Groot? A lot of these interests have become niche and collector appeal is greater then mass collectivity. I think this Helicarrier is going to be priced around birthday and christmas present range. Don't get me wrong, I like this thing but I'm not sure who they are marketing this for.

My boy is gonna go crazy for this. We have so many sets. The action figure age is being over charged due to the fact that grown men buy the most of them. Kids like Lego and video games. I keep my son in Lego and he makes stuff that is perfectly symmetrical and very creative with no orders to do anything other than what he wants. I step away for a minute and come back to beautiful battle everything machines that I wish I was good enough to make. With all the same colors even!!! How does he do that!
