Chris Hemsworth Talks Briefly About THOR: RAGNAROK

For the first time since the threequel was announced, Hemsworth talks here very vaguely about returning as the God of Thunder post-Avengers: Age of Ultron in Thor: Ragnarok. Check it out!

It's been four months since Marvel Studios had announced Thor: Ragnarok, among "Phase Three" movies, at the special press event in L.A., but  Chris Hemsworth has finally discussed the 2017 threequel during a Blackhat interview. When Digital Spy asked if certain events in this summer's Avengers: Age of Ultron will have an impact on the God of Thunder's return in Ragnarok, the Aussie actor reassured... they will. "Yeah, definitely... they have to, don't they?" he asked, laughing. "No [I can't give away any hints], but I will say there is no script for the next Thor. So, I have no idea where we're going to end up, but it's pretty big... this one." Anyhow, when it was announced that Thor: Ragnarok will be released on July 28, 2017, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige had teased that the threequel will not only be "very important" to the "Phase Three" as a whole, but it will also take Thor to "to another level." The producer had also reassured that Ragnarok "picks up where we leave Thor in Age of Ultron and impacts everything that comes after." What do you think?

Thor 3 and Black Panther (as well as Infinity War) are my most hyped Marvel Phase 3 films.

It better not be another Thor 2.

I agree with MisterBatfleck. No Earth/Midgard in Ragnarok.

Still think Ron Howard could be a solid choice to direct Ragnarok.

It'd be his third film with Hemsworth.

"but I will say there is no script for the next Thor."

But but I thought Marvel Studios has everything planned out. Everything ready.

@GliderMan

It looks pretty solid. I thoroughly enjoyed Rush, so I'm looking forward to it.

And it's because Heart of the Sea looks like more of an action movie than what Ron Howard is known for that I'm intrigued by the idea of Howard directing Ragnarok. He'd be the best and biggest name director in the MCU thus far.

I realize it's unlikely to happen because Howard would want/demand more creative control than Disney/Marvel are typically willing to relinquish, as was the case with Edgar Wright. We'll see though.

@0megaDaGod

The more I see that Thor gif, the more it reminds me of the Iron Man/Thor fight in Avengers, when Iron Man is like "How about that" but instead it's like the roles are reversed and Thor is absorbing his own lightning and sending it back.... I think

@AlexanderLykins- The way Kevin has talked about this movie, I wouldn't be surprised if Thanos DOES come to Asgard. Thor is drained from trying to stop Ragnorok and it turns out Thanos was maybe somehow the one behind getting Surtur released? This is used as a distraction so that he could get to the Gauntlet. Idk prob. Won't happen like that since that is just my own Fan-Fiction lool

Could that be the church in Norway that Odin kept the tesseract in, from the opening of CA:1st A?

And it does look like he is either directing a blast or it comes from within. And he isnt holding Mjölner.. hm..
I wonder if he will get a "tell me!"-moment about some Odin related matters from his asgardian past. Or perhaps Frigga was his real mother in he MCU?

Thanos reaction to Ronan killing the Other and how he so far has only lost the one stone he had and gained none, makes me belive everything is planned out by him so far.

This is going to be the Thor film we've been waiting for. Every time someone talks about it, they always say how big it's gonna be, and how it's gonna flip the MCU on it's head. If it lives up to that, then oh boy...

Both Thor movies were letdowns, hopefully this will be MUCH better. I want fantasy epic in style of the LotR. No Earth or humans. Less humor, more action. No science, just pure magic. Most of all I want to see the real god of thunder, with powers beyond any other MCU superhero. Comics Thor would beat the weak MCU Thor to bloody mess.

Just posted this on the Terry Crews article, Terry Crews for Executioner.

If we get Beta Ray Bill I will piss myself. To have Storm Breaker would be epic.

I really feel that Thor 3 will be a good surprise! Winter Soldier step up the game in the MCU and became a standard for a serious tone in the next movies.

I have a feeling Marvel is going to nail this Thor movie. I really can't imagine them making three sh*tty Thor movies.
