Marvel Has Confirmed Andy Serkis Is 'Ulysses Klaw' In AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON

It was previously speculated and then reported to be so, but now Marvel/Disney has officially revealed that Andy Serkis is playing one of Black Panther's archenemies in The Avengers sequel. Check it out!

In addition to watermark-less, ultra high-resolution copies of the sixteen production images that were released from Avengers: Age of Ultron yesterday, Marvel/Disney has provided Stitch Kingdom with official captions that evidently describe who's who. Well, given that Andy Serkis is featured in one of those sixteen stills, it's confirmed that the motion-capture performance expert will be playing none of other than Ulysses Klaw in the highly-anticipated Marvel sequel and beyond...

Despite this solid confirmation, it was previously speculated and then reported that Andy Serkis' mystery Age of Ultron character would be Ulysses Klaw, who is a Dutch scientist in the comics that becomes an arch enemy to Black Panther and equipped with a gun on his arm that turns sound into images. It's likely the supervillain is being established in Joss Whedon's Marvel sequel to later return in the Black Panther movie, which is currently scheduled for  release on November 3, 2017, and starring Chadwick Boseman in the titular role. Perhaps, Serkis could somehow reprise the role in Capain America: Civil War, in which Boseman will debut as the Wakandian on May 6, 2016. Anyhow, check out the Age of Ultron stills below, and in ultra high-quality here! What do you think?

Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age of Ultron, the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to the Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure. Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., who returns as Iron Man, along with Chris Evans as Captain America, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk. Together with Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and with the additional support of Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury and Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, the team must reassemble to defeat James Spader as Ultron, a terrifying technological villain hell-bent on human extinction. Along the way, they confront two mysterious and powerful newcomers, Wanda Maximoff, played by Elizabeth Olsen, and Pietro Maximoff, played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and meet an old friend in a new form when Paul Bettany becomes Vision. Written and directed by Joss Whedon and produced by Kevin Feige, Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” published in 1963. Get set for an action-packed thrill ride when The Avengers return in Avengers: Age of Ultron May 1, 2015.

I just can't get over the horror movie vibe this pic gives off. LOVE it.

He might not have all that big of a role in Age of Ultron, but Serkis is going to kill as Klaw in Black Panther.

I'm actually happy they confirmed this because I've had this sinking feeling that Serkis may end up not being Klaw at all which would have killed me. Now I can rest easy.
