New Potential CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR Details On Allegiances, Costumes And Plot Points
There's nothing too major revealed beyond what's mentioned in the headline, but hit the jump for some new and rather cool details about Captain America: Civil War, Ant-Man, and Doctor Strange!
When it comes to characters, costumes, and minor plot points, Joblo has been pretty accurate with its scoops surrounding the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe. Which makes the site's latest exclusive about the forthcoming Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War, and Doctor Strange movies very much plausible. Although none of the following "rumors" should ruin your eventual moviegoing experience, a spoiler warning is still necessary, so proceed past this point with caution.
About Captain America: Civil War, Joblo reports that Cap, Falcon, Black Widow, and Hawkeye will be among those forming an allegiance against Iron Man, War Machine, the Vision, and Ant-Man, while the Black Panther and the Scarlet Witch are "somewhere in the mix." Also, the main villains of the 2016 sequel are said to be Baron Zemo and Brock Rumlow aka Crossbones, as previously reported. As for costumes, Rumlow's is described as "messier" as it will be his trademark look from the comics with "graffiti-esque" skull imagery on his suit. Crossbones will also "wear the skull mask that covers his entire face, which is said to be a hybrid mask/helmet." Furthermore, Joblo also reckons that Sam Wilson aka the Falcon will be getting a costume upgrade that is said to be a "modified" version of his Captain America: The Winter Soldier suit, "but with grey and red colors."
Moving on to plot points in Captain America: Civil War, Joblo further reports that Scott Lang will eventually take on his Giant-Man form at some point during the battle, given the Ant-Man movie will see the size-shifting hero "enlarge certain objects while [he and Yellowjacket] are still shrunk." It's further reported that a familiar-looking Winter Soldier will be a key focus in the movie, given his "ability to be a hero [again]," yet he's also been a villain. Apparently, that is what provokes the fall-out between Captain America and Iron Man. However, it is Crossbones who initially causes the MCU version of the Superhero Registration act, whose main concept asks "if there is a threat - should The Avengers show up, is it their place to do so, and what gives them the authority to do so?". Apparently, Frank Grillo's supervillain will be "the catalyst that kicks off the film, instigating an attack that causes much death and destruction, causing the government to step in and put out the Superhero Registration Act." Other Civil War tidbits revealed in the Joblo article is that Marvel has "wiggle room" with the many characters involved, so one or more of the aforementioned superheros could be axed. Also, the Black Panther will have "his own agenda," and his role in the Phase 3 movie will be a significant one. Unfortunately, the site has nothing on Spider-Man as the folks at Marvel Studios are keeping things close to the chest. What do you think?
