Chris Hemsworth Says The Avengers Will Beat Each Other Up!

Chris Hemsworth Says The Avengers Will Beat Each Other Up!

In a rehearsal interview for the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards, THOR star Chris Hemsworth shares his excitement for The Avengers heedlessly mentions they battle each other.

When attempting to assemble some of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, an allied altercation between them should come as no surprise. And while Marvel's crossover spectacle The Avengers is no exception, the actor behind the Mighty Avenger Thor, Chris Hemsworth essentially confirms this altercation.

While I'm sure one of these "altercations" will involve the Hulk, they'll surly provide great action sequences when they're not joined as a team to take on whoever the main foe may be. Anyhow, Joss Whedon assembles The Avengers in theaters May 4, next year in 3D!

@gaston- i could definitely see that but hawkeye was usually the one doing that in the comics. then again whedon isnt being very faithful to the comics i.e. widow and no pyms.

Stark's and Thor's dynamic could also be interesting.

I'm sure Thor could practically vaporize Cap and Iron man. Although since Cap knows billions of tactics, I'm sure he could find a way to shove Mjolnir's hilt up Thor's a-hole :P
VictorHugo
VictorHugo - 1/17/2011, 2:28 AM
Captain America can dodge, and hammer his shield on weak spots (knee, neck) for a few rounds on the Hulk, or Thor, before become tomato juice.

And his vibranium/adamantium shield can withstand a Mjolnir attack too.

About facing Iron Man, he can only do it using gadgets that can disable his armor. He did it once on the "Civil War".

And aside of that, he can use his convincing speechs and make everyone feel guilty.

DDD - 1/17/2011, 3:06 AM
You're basically right Gaston@ but Hank Pym
at his largest I would say would squash
Cap like a bug (pardon the pun), his shield
would just squish Cap EVEN more, not really
protect him!! LOL

[email protected] speeches/guilt...LMAO!

Hulk was actually able to lift Mjolnir and
wield it...now that's pure power and that's
badassery of a higher order! Crazy green
bastard! LOL

Speaking of badass, Thor is gonna be kickbutt
cuz of one thing...Chris Hemsworth...he's got
a charisma that comes around only once in awhile!
And Captain America is gonna be baddass too so
just think of AVENGERS...Oh, Damnification!!!!!!
BADAZZ!!!!!!! LOL

in my opinion its

THor > Hulk > Ironman > Cap

seeing the team have disagreements and fight at first is going to make them all working together be totally awesome. I just know their gonna have to "convince" the Hulk to join them. I hope we get a talking hulk in this movie so we get more Hulk than bruce banner on screen.

Watching them beat the pi$$ out of each other will be pretty cool.I wanna see a Hulk/Thor throwdown, that would be pretty sweet!!!

I could see Tony and Cap arguing over leadership, ie Cap gets put in charge, but Tony thinks he's doing it wrong or something and then getting in to a fistfight.
Then Thor comes along, and with the Humanity he learnt in his movie, stop them.
JohnTom88
JohnTom88 - 1/17/2011, 4:24 AM
Toughest: Hulk > Thor > Iron Man > Cap
Smartest: Iron Man > Cap > Thor > Hulk
Leadership: Cap > Iron Man > Thor > Hulk

I think it will be what people want to see the Hulk and Thor toe to toe and because it is marvel doing it , it will probably be a draw because they don't want to put down either one of their properties .

@ DDD - Thats rubbish that Pym at full size could kick Cap's ass. Check the Ultimates Vol2 Cap kicks the shizzz out of Pym when he's full size. Very Very easily as well. His reason for doing so is because Hank hit Janet and Cap got pissed! People seem to be underestimating Cap...He's sick.. My order would be (and therefore fact lol):

Hulk> Thor> Cap> Iron Man> Giant man> Wasp!!

You peeps need to school up before you see this film or you'll just be bitching the whole way through. Step up your vocab....Peace

Cap kicks Giant-man's ass when he's 50 feet tall?
Only in Ultimates! That crap is pure Ultimates
crap!

Cap doesn't fight underhanded or use dirty tricks...
Ultimates is crap...(Victor Hugo@)! It's totally
out of character for Cap to be underhanded!

Cap is immensely powerful but only Super-soldier
powerful. Giant-man weighs tons when he's 50 ft.
Cap can't lift TONS! But he always does use his
brain so he would find advantages against a
huge person, like running under something very
solid and then running out and hitting Hank about
the feet and legs! But seriously eventually Hank
would squish him! Hank knows how to fight
intelligently too ya know! LOL

phoe1 - 1/17/2011, 5:34 AM
they let him shave his beard?? theres no way that thing s gonna b grown by the time they start filming for avengers thou??
DDD
DDD - 1/17/2011, 5:35 AM
Also Thor is a highly trained warrior-god..sort of!
But it's high-tech, very high-tech that makes him
powerful, like he says to Jane in the movie trailer...
"what you think is magic is actually very high-tech."

Odin takes it from him when he casts him down to
earth!
But with his magic (ultra-high-tech) he is
immensely powerful and very trained as a warrior,
Oh, yeah, he would turn Cap into red mist! LOL

Yep, Cap's third best but I still think Hank Pym
at full size would squash him! LOL
And Cap is my favorite of all MARVEL superheroes
even!
DDD
DDD - 1/17/2011, 5:42 AM
But I would wager an edumacated guess
that it's Thor going at Hulk when Loki
tricks Hulk into attacking the rest of
the AVENGERS!

How's that for schoolin', MONEYBANKS@? LOL
thunderforce
thunderforce - 1/17/2011, 5:52 AM
I still say it will be Hulk and Thor and a draw unless Thor is fighting Hulk for more than a few hours , also in the Marvel movie universe I don't think we will see the Hulk picking up Thor's Hammer either it again would diminish the godly powers of Thor so I don't think Marvel will let it happen .
artofjaymz
artofjaymz - 1/17/2011, 5:55 AM
My theory on this....Nick Fury gets the team together, including the Hulk, and then intentionally triggers the Hulk becoming active without anyone knowing. Then the rest of the team publicly takes the Hulk down. It's not until the end of the movie it's revealed Fury did it on purpose to A) Field train the new team, B) Collect data to see exactly how much they could handle, and C)To get the public to accept that the Avengers team is a force ot be reckoned with, and to have that force seen on televisions the world over in case foreign nations think of tangling with America. I think that'd be a damned good intro to the shady world of S.H.I.E.LD and the Avengers. You could even slip a Hydra shadow agent in there, maybe reporting back to Red Skull and setting up a Hydra vs Avengers sequel.
DDD
DDD - 1/17/2011, 5:56 AM
Yorel@, in the original story it's
Iron-man who makes Cap the leader
of the AVENGERS after they thaw him
out, cuz of his fair heart and battle-
leading experience!

Iron-man and Cap wouldn't be fighting
for supremacy! That's absurd!
ThaMessenger07
ThaMessenger07 - 1/17/2011, 5:58 AM
Thor is the Most Powerful. He can lift well into the Mega-Tons, can manipulate weather, produce a power strong enough to hurt a fully feed Galactus, can absorb massive levels of energy, and can move as fast as the lightning he commands.

Hulk is the potentially strongest and potentially most powerful

Iron-Man Has a very Powerful Suit that allows him to lift well over 100 tons but he is still a fraction of the strength of Hulk and Thor

Wasp Stinger is extremely effective and her ability to shrink down and use it gives her huge advantage.

Ant-Man has a similar advantage since he can shrink down yet retain his normal strength. A punch from an Ant that is equal to a punch from a 6'1 190 lbs man is a true sucker punch. Plus he can grow and size and his strength can also reach into the 100+ ton range.

Captain America is the best fighter and a tactical genius. He can give anyone of them a fight and potentially win against all that have normal human weakness.
