RUMOR: More Potential Spoilers For The Avengers Revealed!

Following the previous rumored spoilers for Marvel's The Avengers posted earlier today, the same source has provided a few more maybe revealing the Avenger Initiative's purpose.

Earlier today, several potential spoilers for Marvel & Joss Whedon's crossover actioner The Avengers emerged online, posted by a user from the notably unreliable Internet Movie Database. Now the same source has added more, possibly revealing the initial purpose for the 'Avenger Initiative.' Spoiler Alert!

  • The Skrulls have been here [to earth] before. They just thought the cube [was] no longer on Earth.

  • Once S.H.I.E.L.D found the cube Fury knew it was only a matter of time before they would come back.

  • The Skrulls homeworld had been destroyed, just like in the comics...

  • There are some great fights with lots of spaceships. The script definitely is EPIC.

  • So could that memorable "talk about the Avenger Initiative" in the post-credits scene of 2008's Iron Man, be in regard to extraterrestrial activity? Could the actual finding of the Cube in Thor's post-credits scene put the Skrulls on alert? Of course, but what do you think? For some reason, I can picture Nick Fury explaining the history of SHIELD's first encounter with the Skrulls, and how they're the reason for his missing eye. Anyhow, take these with a grain of salt!

Marvel's The Avengers picks up when an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security. And Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Clark Gregg, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Tom Hiddleston & Stellan Skarsgård, the film releases May 4, 2012!

This is still fake or from the Zack Penn script that Joss Whedon worked with the actors to overhaul. I would be willing to bet that the Skrulls story will be more like Fringe (with the cosmic cube accessing alternate universes, the whole point of the end credits scene in Thor). I am really interested in seeing how the Red Skull makes it to the present day (It would be weird and kind of cool if he were really the Red "Skrull). Just Kidding.

"Also forgot to mention that there's a surprise guest appearance by Spider-Man and Wolverine who share a passionate french kiss."

    LOL it's a fake...

Skrulls make more sense in a Joss Whedon film. He want's a superhero space epic. I'll still think he'll hold out til Avengers 2 to really bring them in as the main antagonist. Cap better get his shit together and get some new duds though, cuz so far he's the weakest link.

Cap needs a better suit, and I'm out if there's no Kree.
Ms Marvel is going to be in this movie. I'm not taking no for an answer.

Screw Ms. Marvel, Hawkeye, and Black Widow. None of them should come before founding members Ant-Man/Giant-Man and the Wasp.
