New Potential Details Regarding The Avengers Revealed? Skrulls Debunked?

From possible details on Captain America's new suit, to debunking certain aliens occasionally mentioned, check out what an alleged source close to The Avengers production has posted.

Yet again sourced from the devious IMDB, a user has posted plausible details regarding Marvel's highly-anticipated superhero ensemble flick The Avengers. Foremost sourcing his material, "I or a very close friend is close to the production and just recently watched a scene between Mark Ruffalo, Sam Jackson, RDJ, and Scarlett Johansson," he further states he doesn't know everything about the film, but rather interesting tidbits. With a spoiler warning, check out what he has to say.

  • Agent Coulson does NOT die as some previous rumors claimed (He's not a Skrull either).

  • Captain America's new suit looks amazing from what I or my friend have seen/heard :P. Similar to his costume in Captain America: TFA but the gray straps on his upper torso are gone, the blue is a darker yet more vibrant blue, the star on his chest is bigger, and the red stripes on his abdomen area are actual stripes on the costume and not part of the straps. It also looks less like hockey pads and more like a sleek costume. Very Avengers worthy.

  • Thor does not return to Earth until roughly the half way mark. We have scenes showing him in Asgard before this however.

  • Ruffalo's Banner is very much a scientist and geek from what I've seen. He surpasses Norton 100 times over IMO.

  • I/my friend have yet to see Renner as Hawkeye but I think his appearance is going to be similar to Scarlett's in Iron Man 2 in regards to screen time.

  • This is one I'd like to clear up, NO ANT-MAN OR WASP. As of right now they are NOT in the film unless they're put in later as a cameo/mention.

  • That I know of, there are 2 references/Easter Eggs to other characters, Black Panther, and Vision. From what I've fathered I think they're alluding to Tony Stark being the creator or at least part of a team that creates Vision but DON'T quote me on that one.

  • Throughout the movie the team wont really have one specific leader, it's going to be a lot of pushing and pulling for the top spot because in each members eyes, they are the most qualified and they're not interested in following.

  • Lastly, the movies villain(s). Sorry to disappoint folks but no, the Skrulls are not the villain(s). I wont reveal who other than Loki plays a villainous role because it's just too good of a plot point to spoiler for you guys. The Skrulls will be mentioned/alluded to, possibly for a sequel? It's possible.

  • Marvel's The Avengers picks up when an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security. And Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Chris Evans, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Clark Gregg, Samuel L. Jackson, Cobie Smulders, Tom Hiddleston & Stellan Skarsgård, the film releases May 4, 2012!

I always beat myself up after reading these. No Skrulls as villains? That sounds a little suspicious, especially after Marvel made the casting announcement specifically mentioning extraterrestrial races in the film.

TelaVision: Pym created Ultron and Ultron created Vision.

I'm not buying this as factual. The Cap costume and the way Stark is behind the creation of Vision are both little things that I have heard fans conceptualise on here. It sounds too convenient to me.

I have no idea what that could be. Sounds like it either starts out as 'This is...' or my best guess is it's reversed.
Either way it's getting me a little exciting. This is what makes the Batman movies so awesome, they make you hyped about it!

Great! I kinda hope this is true. I also think that having Loki and The Skrulls in 2 2-2.1/2 hour movie would be short. So I think it's good that they'll only mention Skrulls. BTW, that's an awesome GIF! i got shocked when I saw the Skrull haha!

I would love some nod to or promise of the Vision... But his body should definitely be some relic of WWII, found and revived (as is the case from the comics, where he was built from the remains of the original android Human Torch). Why? Because there is only one way that kind of technology could have existed then... Kang.

Cap's costume sounds great if its true.

but there are way too many rumors about Skrulls in this for me to think they aren't true.

maybe its just me, but Multipurpose Poni reported Skrulls as the villains over a year ago, it was the first time anyone had ever heard about it, and 90% of the people on this site called him a liar who was just making things up. its just a little funny that now, a year later, we've been hearing all kinds of things about Skrulls. I'm convinced they will be the villains, especially with the Cosmic Cube being a part of it.

So i think this guy is fake, especially considering it came from IMDB.

YES YES YES!! Have Stark work on Vision and make the Ant Man/Giant Man movie feature Ultron. Then feature a Vision Ultron storyline in the Next Avengers...

Vision was always bad ass lookin. Awesome if Vision's ever worked into these films.

this sounds intresting indeed, the other villain would be awesome if it turns out being thanos.

also ultron built the vision from the original human torch android body,so why can't they keep it like that.

    the avengers 2

ultron, wonderman & the creation of the vision.

"Sure hope all those spoilers are true. Skrull/Ant Man/Wasp are all too much to stuff into a movie already bursting at the seams."

I agree with Antman and Wasp. As much as i would like to see them in this, it does seem like there is already too much to put them in. I don't agree with Skrulls being too much though. There is no way Loki is going to be the only villain in this, so no matter what other villain they put in, there's going to have to be an explanation for them. So I don't see how the Skrulls would be too much to handle any more than any other villain, y'know? :)

    @ Marvel72

"also ultron built the vision from the original human torch android body,so why can't they keep it like that."

because no other movie has introduced Human Torch, and until we see the Cap movie, we won't know if there is an advanced robot or anything that can be used for Vision. also, its not needed. Ultron is far more advanced than Vision and way smarter than Stark, Pym, or even Mr. Fantastic, so if Stark or Pym create Ultron (who is more advanced than Vision) without a Human Torch body, then it shouldn't be so crazy as to think that Ultron could create Vision without the Original Human Torch's body.

What if HYDRA emerges as a global threat again? Maybe this is elluded to in the Cap movie.

Or maybe it's the Kree scoping out Earth which would justify the Skrulls discussion.
