Courtesy of Medical Mutual observing the Cleveland shoot, the latest footage from The Avengers' set depicts actors Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth, 'Thor' and 'Captain America,' in back-to-back combat against alien motion-capture stuntmen.





Marvel's The Avengers picks up when an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security. And Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. With director Joss Whedon at it's helm, and an ensemble cast including Chris Evans (Steve Rogers), Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Chris Hemsworth (Thor Odinson), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff), Clark Gregg (Agt. Phil Coulson), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), with Tom Hiddleston (Loki Laufeyson), and Stellan Skarsgard (Professor Erik Selvig), the film releases worldwide May 4, 2012!

Despite how awesome this is and I know it has no effects in it yet... I am a bit worried that Thor's power wont be properly shown. it looks as though Cap's punches are doing just as much damage as Thor's. Probably just getting a bit of jitters though as I really want this to succeed!

It's... beautiful. And I don't think we're going to know who the aliens are before we actually see them on screen. There's no way to tell with the CGI suits.

Holy flippin' heck! I can't believe this movie is happening!

Everything I've seen from this movie has been amazing. Everything I've seen of Batman Rises has been shockingly terrible. Poor DC...

ok not really but still.... HECK YES!!!! FANTASTIC!!!!!! these set vids make me happy! keep 'em coming. i am very sure with movie music / lighting etc this will be 10x better...........so long as it doesn't quick edit cut itself to death. anybody notice how awesome one long, continuous 30 second shot is??

@jays i dont agree, not a marvel fanboy but a longstretch but say about serenity what u will but it i personally think whedon managed to condens the entire previously unknown universe down to a manageable level where we could actually connect to the characters. it was almost like a direct test for this,so he'd have to fail badly to mock this up in terms of scale of things.

i think the arm waving at the end is evans askin for a retake because he lost his shield bout half way thru.
