Following the somewhat revealing set images here and here, courtesy of Johnamarie Macias, footage from The Avengers' shoot in New York City's Central Park has hit; assembling the main cast of the superhero ensemble flick. While theres just one scene filmed, detailed here, it's done so in several takes, watch the videos below.




























Marvel's The Avengers picks up when an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security. And Nick Fury, director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. With director Joss Whedon at it's helm, and an ensemble cast including Chris Evans (Steve Rogers), Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Chris Hemsworth (Thor Odinson), Jeremy Renner (Clint Barton), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner), Scarlett Johansson (Natasha Romanoff), Clark Gregg (Agt. Phil Coulson), Cobie Smulders (Maria Hill), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), with Tom Hiddleston (Loki Laufeyson), and Stellan Skarsgard (Professor Erik Selvig), the film releases worldwide May 4, 2012!

it seems like the Avengers set videos/pics are from the end of the movie, Thor taking Loki back to Asgard to be 'punished'Back in Asgard (which will probably be Thor 2) Odin banishes Loki to the "Isle of Silence",where Loki is exiled...and...DUNDUNDUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN enter: The Enchantress.

I agree I think this is the end... although either Loki turns good or he may just be taken back to Asgard to get punishment for his actions... but who knows... one thing I do know Tom will be awesome in this part ;) perfect Loki IMO :)

DeadPOoly01, that's not Nick Fury. Pause the video when he's in frame. He's a bald black guy (with no goatee or eyepatch). Samuel L. Jackson wouldn't be walking so close to lookie-loos, especially while a scene is filming.

Hemsworth's is a full and complete wig. A very, very good high-dollar wig. There is no man on the planet with natural hair that beautiful

Tom "The Universal Badass, above all except for Tod the Destroyer" Hiddleston I think has a weave/extension type deal much like Danny McBride has in Eastbound and Down.

They match his hair with a weave for the back and sew it in to his natural hair.

Wow they're all alive... I'm calling Coulson or Maria Hill (probably the later) dying. Can't have an action movie with stakes this high, end of the world massive battle high, directed by Joss "must kill my most awesome characters" Whedon, without losing some major character lives. Especially when the main villain seems to survive. If you don't lose characters in a battle like that, it makes it unrealistic (Joss's words on the Serenity DVD commentary). Joss loves exploring characters through death. Someone must die, it is the will of joss!
