Although we've seen a different side of 'Phil Coulson' in the recently-released
Marvel One-Shot, the actor behind the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent, Clark Gregg, reassured with
MTV News that in Marvel's
The Avengers movie, he's required to "step up" as well.
"There is so little I can say without either Marvel or Nick Fury choking me to death in my sleep," Gregg said. Gregg was, however, able to offer one helpful, if somewhat cryptic, hint. "I will say — as anyone who's seen the trailer knows — there's a reason we're trying to get all of these different, crazy superheroes in one room," the occasional S.H.I.E.L.D. agent teased. "It's because there's a threat that's formidable enough to require that they be in one room, and if that's going on, you better believe Agent Coulson's going to have to step up."
It's rumored that during the superhero ensemble flick's climatic battle, 'Agent Coulson' will get his time to shine, leading a group of lower-class S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents through calamity. And that, eventually, he'll get to show his "true colors." What do you think?
