Possible Spoiler Involving Black Widow & the Mystery Invaders In THE AVENGERS?

Possible Spoiler Involving Black Widow & the Mystery Invaders In THE AVENGERS?

Before you make the jump, the following should be taken very lightly considering the quote could have multiple meanings; one of which could be a spoiler in The Avengers!

The following should be taken midly, considering the source's claim may have multiple meanings, however, it could also be a major spoiler in Marvel's highly-anticipated movie The Avengers. Moving along, the president of United States Tennis Association, Loomis Leaves, issued a message regarding his time spent in New York, as well his daughter's. And he stated the following, which essentially involves Scarjo's 'Natasha Romanoff,' or 'Black Widow,' and the secondary mystery villains of the film; or one of their properties. Check it out!

Sarah [his daughter] talked the late-night security guard onto the movie set of The Avengers (also not surprising to those who know Sarah), and posed next to the space ship that grabs Scarlett Johansson.

In case you missed it, could the above quote reveal that Scarlett Johansson's 'Black Widow' will be "grabbed," or rather kidnapped by the mystery invaders in the movie? Or could the "spaceship" that Loomis Leaves is referring to actually be the quinjet? I think it'd be interesting having Widow kidnapped, and after her evident rescue, add mystery to the character's knowledge. And maybe that could be further explored in the guaranteed sequel. What do you think?

Marvel's The Avengers is the Super Hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins. Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner with Samuel L. Jackson and Tom Hiddleston, directed by Joss Whedon, Marvel's The Avengers will be released May 4, 2012.

So pretty girl captured by bad guys and gang of superhero men must save the damsel in distress?

Real original. Black Widow is on the same level as Cap, Hawkeye, Iron Man, and Thor. This is stupid, bet it never crossed the writers minds to let Thor get captured? No, just let the girl get captured.

I hope this is false, if its true, ill be very disappointed.

Maybe it's a flashback where the aliens invaded and kidnapped Black Widow and had her replaced with an imposter(Skrulls)! Then in this movie it is revealed that she is a skrull and the real Black Widow is hostage to the alien(Skrulls)

@catwoman - blackwidow on the same level as thor lol please, none of the avengers except hulk are on thors level. And also ironman is a few levels ahead when he dons the suit, but yeah hawkeye and cap are supposed to be on the same level as her. She is an expert strategist though, maybe she ment to get herself captured?

@ catwoman

black widow is the weakest on the team, thats why she'll d get captured over the likes of thor & captain america.

Black Widow received a variant's of the Super-Soldier serum so she's definitely not the weakest on the team. She's MUCH stronger and more competent than Hawkeye and is somewhere around the level of Captain America.

Tony Stark ain't shit without his armor (besides genius billionaire playboy philanthropist) so you could argue that she may be stronger than him hand on hand or about as good as he is when it comes to logistics/strategy.

She's also a martial arts experts with peak human abilities and an effective tactician, etc etc...

I doubt she'll be a damsel in distress to be honest. Joss Whedon likes his female characters strong and awesome, so he probably wouldn't do that to the only female super on the team.

The space ship this quote is talking about is probably the Quinjet like the article suggests.

What Supernature said. She's definitely above Hawkeye but a little below Captain America in my opinion.

Good call as well that this is Joss Whedon. I'll roll my eyes and shake my head if it happens, but I wouldn't be surprised if she flips Thor across a room or something.

lol at these comments.

Black Widow the weakest on the team? I'd say Nick Fury is, if you want to get down to brass tacks. We've seen BW kick some major ass in Iron Man 2 and in the Avengers trailer, so I would hardly call her the weakest. I think Hawkeye is weaker than her cause all we know of him is he is good with weapons like Fury, that's it. I bet BW could kick Hawkeye's ass in a fist fight. (In the movies' realm of ther characters)
But yeah, she definitely not on level with Cap, Iron Man, or Thor (or Hulk obviously).
