DEBUNKED: International THE AVENGERS Trailer Debuting In The Coming Days?

Before making the jump excited, note that this assumption of a NEW trailer debuting soon for The Avengers could easily be mistaken. With that said, check out how it's possible.

Off the heels of learning that India will be watching next summer's most highly-anticipated superhero movie, The Avengers, before the United States, I headed over to the Facebook page promoting the country's release. And it seems we may have a new international trailer to look forward to over the weekend. At least that's what the below graphic points at. Check it out!

UPDATE #2: It seems the downside of our assumption has come to be true, with Disney representatives confirming to us that the trailer being promoted in the graphic for India is in fact, "the same trailer with nothing new at all. They have yet to debut it in India which is why they made an announcement for it." So, January 2012 we shall wait.

Unfortunately since this is only an assumption, there's a downside. And that downside could be that this "trailer" may just be the one that debuted in October, breaking iTunes records. However, something that makes me believe the trailer could be all-new is that the first one is already viewable on the Facebook page. So it'd be a little odd to promote something upcoming, that's already available at the same place it's promoted. Anyhow, Sunday is just two days away, so we shall see. What do you think?

Marvel's The Avengers is the Super Hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel Super Heroes Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins. Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner with Samuel L. Jackson and Tom Hiddleston, directed by Joss Whedon, Marvel's The Avengers will be released May 4, 2012.

@themrcjb Because nowhere on that graphic does it say the trailer will be new, and not the one we've all seen. It's possible they're just airing it on Tv in India.

Cap looks like a CG rendering or a toy compared to the others. Weird shiny eyes, pose, etc.

@Illwill

MARVEL doesn't need a viral campaign,they have 5 FREAKIN' MOVIES since 2008 that helped build up the hype for this thing ;)

^^^^^^^^^^^ yea five movies where the majority were Average as hell, nothing to get excited about. Ironman was the best one, everything else I can't even watch twice. [frick]in kiddy ass Marvel movies with VERY predictable dialog. And that lame ass trailer looks like sumthin Michael Bay put together. Oh yea, and just cause they released 5 movies doesn't mean crap when none of them can equal to just ONE Batman flick. Fail.

seriously,we got great news for both movies,and all you people do is bashing Avengers?

@NextHero08

I'm not judging the quality of TDK or the MARVEL movies,I'm just saying that MARVEL doesn't need a viral campaign to build up hype for the Avengers because they have already put millions and millions of dollars in these 5 movies that lead up to the Avengers.

you're reading too much into what I said.

and stop saying that MARVEL movies are kiddy.just because something isn't dark and gritty as your precious TDK doesn't mean they're for 2 year old kids.and even TDKR is gonna have a toyline,so don't tell me that TDKR isn't for kids either.

@Zigggggy

that was the 80's,where you could show that kind of violence to a kid without fear that he would become a terrorist or something

Why would they advertise the same trailer? It's on yahoo and MARVELS youtube channel. Everyine has seen it and it is basically old. The artwork suggest a new trailer will be shown Sunday. Why would they be questioned?

I already put that time slot on record be it a new trailer or not.

@NextHero08 As Spidey91 said Marvel doesn't need a viral campaign and they have put too much money in order to make this movie and we still have 5 months till release so you cant say what MARVEL might be planning.

Cool if true and new(which I think it is) but why only India? It is Christmas time after all and it would be a great X-mas present for all if new and was watchable to/for all:)
Thx for posting this!

I dont understand why theres so much hat from tdk(DC) fans towards this movie (marvel) amd the other way around... Lets me set the record straight. "marvel had 5 avarge movies" let me start by saying im not biase however ill state facts, marvel had 5 above avarge movies which all mad more than 250mil world wide. TDK is infact a great movie prob the best cbm how every it stands alone. Batman begins wasnt even avarge, sup returns was trash, gl floped (i thought it was good, not great) the best thing about TDK was Joker TDKR dont have Joker. Im hopeful for the movie but Bane is not living up to joker plus hes not roiding up whats bane without roids, thats Batman with no gadgets. A movie can be successful it can fail (marvel or DC) I just think the hat is uncalled for. If u dont like avengers or TDKR dont watch it. Just my opinion
