guys face it- RDJ, Scarlet Johannsen and SLJ are all way more famous than Chris Evans. thats what drives moster poster negotiations. we are al going to see this movie no matter what, they've already sold us a ticket. now they have to sell the rest of the world.

"Kinda pisses me off how Captain is made to be an afterthought in this poster." "would've looked a lot better if it was Steve Rogers on the frontline. :D hate it when i see Ironman and friends stuff" How incredibly odd they would focus on the guy in armor and put Captain America in the back in a Japanese paper...by "incredibly odd" I mean not a surprise in the least.

Iron Man's films made the most out of the Avenger flicks so of course he's going to be in front. It's simple marketing people geez.

Its already been stated that this movie is gonna shown from the viewpoint of Cap, but Iron Man will be the leader of the group. Captain America wasn't even in the group when the Avengers comic first started, he came later. SHEESH!
CoolantTech
CoolantTech - 3/13/2012, 6:27 PM
@cazz no Ironman wont be the leader cause he's not the leading type Nick fury is the leader for this movie for now but I definately see Cap being the leader in future installments

Hey Japanese like robots and mechs.

Thus for Japan (and really most of the world), Iron Man Ichiban - that's "number one", you unwashed Americans.

Getting so sick of everyone that complains about 'Iron Man and friends' when its clear that if it were up to them it would be Cap and friends. Nobody that ever makes the too much iron man comment is ever complaining that there's not enough Thor or Hulk, it's always about not enough Cap. Get over it, a dude wearing an american flag leading a group of the biggest badasses ever is not appealing unless you're a comic geek or an american. 'Captain America' is just not as cool a character to most people as he is to a lot of people here, gonna have to get used to that for the marketing rounds.

SonOfStarKiller - 3/13/2012, 7:04 PM
RDJ is up front because Iron Man 1 & 2 made A TON OF MONEY. Cap did well but no where near as well as either Iron Man films. Even Marvel knows this is about box office draw and not so much about fanboys wanting Capt. America to be front and center in every promo shot, Regardless of what the comic books dictates.

Nick Fury is leader, Capt. A. is field Leader
TheOverlord
TheOverlord - 3/13/2012, 8:23 PM
That's fine. Pimp the shit out of RDJ in the ads if it puts more butts in the seats and guarantees more movies. I trust Whedon will do the right thing and give each character his or her due in the actual movie, though.

Lilvic92
Lilvic92 - 3/13/2012, 9:46 PM
I don't care about that marketing crap..whether your from here in states or from another country, a true comic fan would know that Cap should be in the front. Stop preaching all this crap how Cap isn't liked outside the states. A true leader leads his team, he doesn't stand in the back like a pussy

I live in Australia , and cap is my favourite , he should always be in front I wish they would stop shoving ironman down our throats .

Australia = USA's caddy

Iron Man is the new Marvel's international mascot. Only in Australia and the US they'd go overboard with Captain America.
