From an extended version of the video interview posted last weekend, during the Paris exhibition of his artwork for Marvel Studios, artist Ryan Meinerding discussed working on The Avengers movie. Also serving as the visual development supervisor of the film, Meinerding elaborated more on the design of Thor, Iron Man, and the Hulk.

It looks like they used it as inspiration for other posters. Notice the Hulk's pose is the same as several previous posters, as is Black Widow's.

That is some excellent concept art. And just in time- I was ready to change my desktop background anyway. This should be used for the cover of the comic adaptation of the movie.
