Kicking off the rundown, actor Alexis Denisof will be portraying "The Other," which'll likely involve the credits teaser of the film. Denisof is known for his roles in Joss Whedon's
Angel &
Dollhouse series. He has also lent his voice to various characters in DC's direct-to-video animated films
All-Star Superman, Justice League: Doom, Batman Beyond, &
Justice League Unlimited. He recently reteamed with Whedon for
Much Ado About Nothing.
Next up, Polish film director, screenwriter, dramatist and actor, Jerzy Skolimowski will be portraying Georgi Luchkov in the film, which is the name of a former Russian KGB-Agent in the comics, and a foe of Natasha Romanov a.k.a Black Widow, portrayed by Scarlett Johansson in the movie.
Portraying one of the World Security Council members, television & film actor Powers Boothe is best known for his
Sin City role as Senator Roarke. He also voiced characters in
Justice League and
Justice League Unlimited.
Kenneth Tigar's role in the film is listed as a simple "German Old Man." However, the actor played Margan and Dammar in
Star Trek: The Next Generation and
Star Trek: Voyager , receiving no screen credit for neither appearances. He has also appeared in
Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.
Although Joss Whedon and Mark Ruffalo revealed his inclusion in the film at a recent press conference, also attending the premiere, American actor, musician, and singer Harry Dean Stanton will portray a Security Guard. He has starred in iconic films
Alien (1979),
The Green Mile, and
Repo Man.
Albanian-American actor Enver Gjokaj was spotted on
The Avengers while filming was underway in Cleveland, however, no one was sure he'd appear in the film. Now with confirmation, Gjokaj will be playing a Young Officer. He's best known for playing supporting character Victor in Joss Whedon's
Dollhouse series.
Television actress Romy Rosemont has appeared in multiple popular TV series, however, what's more pivotal is the character she's playing in
The Avengers and the fact it's from the comics. Her character, Shawna Lynde, was a physician in the comics mostly affiliated with Thor and his alter-ego, Dr. Donald Blake.
Best known for playing Jim Walsh on
Beverly Hills, 90210 from 1990 to 1995, actor James Eckhouse will be portraying Senator Boynton, who's also a character from the comics. Senator Boyton was a politician aware of the plan to use Firepower against the rogue Iron Man during the
