Promotion for the DVD an Blu-ray release of Marvel's The Avengers superhero team-up of a lifetime is slowly approaching. And kicking things off a bit early, Weta Digital has released five minutes of footage in original high-quality, that showcase their visual effects contributions. In addition, Logan VFX has offered details and images from the movie's memorable Celebration Montage. Check out the images and video embedded below!

Logan collaborates with director Joss Whedon and Marvel to create the "Celebration Montage" for the film The Avengers. Logan was tasked with conceptualizing and shooting the elements that would comprise the montage sequence depicting a worldwide homage to The Avengers. Our take was to show reactions from around the world. Children with homemade Thor hammers, men getting the Tony Stark look at a barbershop in Mumbai, a rally in support of The Avengers in New York, people grieving at a candle light vigil to establish the breadth of the celebration. We are thrilled to have contributed to such a fantastic film.

Marvel Studios presents in association with Paramount Pictures “Marvel’s The Avengers”--the super hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel super heroes Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.

Starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, & directed by Joss Whedon from a screenplay by Joss Whedon, “Marvel’s The Avengers” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since. Prepare yourself for an exciting event movie, packed with action and spectacular special effects, when “Marvel’s The Avengers” assemble on May 4, 2012. The film is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. In addition to "Marvel's The Avengers," Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on the Marvel characters including "Iron Man 3" on May 3, 2013!; and “Thor 2” on November 8, 2013.

Frankly I'm still waiting for another Hulk film as well as Doc strange, Namor, Blk Panther and a Silver Surfer movie. I'm looking forward to phase 2 but these movies I mention above I rather see.
On anther note- I haven't seen TDKR yet but I will. I saw a clip of Bane breaking Batman's back (folks say the fight is awesome)and I can't wait to see it. So what the best and coolest CBM fight scene of 2012?
1) Batman vs Bane
2) Thor vs Ironman
3) Thor vs Hulk
4) Hulk vs loki
5) Spidey vs lizard (school scene)
6) Ghost Rider vs Blackout (road warrior scene).

And seriously I did not feel Batman vs Bane was that great. I just watched all three movies in a row and the fighting is very pathetic in all of them, but a little better in the new one. The one liners are all funny in the Avengers but the Nolan Batman mmovies have SOOO many one liners that are just awful

Did anyone else notice that in the clips released before the movie's premier during the Iron Man/ Thor fight when Thor zaps Iron Man originally Jarvis chimed in and said "Power Capacity is above400%"then Tony says "Well , how about that" and in the actual theatrical release as well as this clip Jarvis is gone.

Maybe they realized that since they didn't actually use that bit of info later on that it needed to go

. I thought it would have been much more interesting for Tony to be low on power and have Thor give him a boost in one of the later battles.

Seems like a wasted bit of detail.

That was awesome to see those scenes again! The Avengers is my favorite CBM for 2012. It had so many wow moments and took me back to when I was a kid and I wanted to see an Avengers movie. It exceeded expectations with all the crazy battles.

Most FUN I've had at the theatre in a long time! Looking forward to phase 2!
