Although this week’s long-gestured release of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One Blu-ray Set has brought many “Phase Two” revelations, the 10-Disc Limited Edition Collector’s case markedly contains plenty of new stuff from Marvel’s original slate. For The Avengers especially, videos have surfaced online revealing all-new deleted, alternate and extended scenes from the 2012 box office behemoth. There’s also a Shawarma featurette and alternate ending of Iron Man 2.

Marvel Studios presents in association with Paramount Pictures “Marvel’s The Avengers”--the super hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel super heroes Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.

Starring Robert Downey, Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, & directed by Joss Whedon from a screenplay by Joss Whedon, “Marvel’s The Avengers” is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series “The Avengers,” first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since. Prepare yourself for an exciting event movie, packed with action and spectacular special effects, when “Marvel’s The Avengers” assemble on May 4, 2012. The film is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. In addition to "Marvel's The Avengers," Marvel Studios will release a slate of films based on the Marvel characters including "Iron Man 3" on May 3, 2013!; & “Thor 2” on November 8, 2013.

Woah, the Iron Man 2 alternate ending has a good idea, but it is terribly executed.

what I got from Cap & Thor scenes = Cap is very acrobatic & Thor can take on Jötunheim by himself but can't stop an army of aliens on Middle Earth XD

Wow, If they had more in the fx budget and audience patience, the battle for New York would have lasted another 10 minutes.

I really wish they would've kept Cap saving the family in the movie cause it was the one part of the TV spots I was looking forward to the most and I think the scene in general just added something to it.

Captain America was sick in The Avengers, I loved the way he fought!!! I was a little scared after First Avenger Cap fought like you would expect someone from that era to fight. Him & the Hulk stole the movie in my opinion, I hope they keep it up in Winter Soldier that fight should be Epic!!!

I do hate they got rid of the Cap stuff as well as the earlier Cap scenes that were cut. You really get a sense of who Cap is and that he is truly the champion of the people.

All I wanna know is how did Cap get his shield back beside him when he threw it on the Chitauri's face in the bomb scene ?

The Iron Man 2 scene is [frick]ing boss. Should have kept that, with better visuals of course.

The Iron Man 2 alternate ending was the best of them all...lol However I would've preferred a more anticipated fight between Iron Man + War Machine against Whiplash in his armor.

Avengers had it's good moments but it had the comic and light feel of Iron Man 2 to me.

Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk honestly held that serious tone within both films and Captain America did as well (to a certain degree). Thor, Iron Man 2 and the Avengers were all comical and light toned. However I must add that I was satisfied with Thor and Loki's final fight at the end of Thor.

I really want to know what happened to the remains of Red Skull at the end of Captain America: The First Avenger. I wonder if he'll make an appearance again in "The Winter Soldier" or Captain America 3??

Actually thinking about it now...

Captain America's death should be coming pretty soon. If they're going to follow the comics they'll eventually have Red Skull hire Crossbones to assassinate Captain America and Bucky will take over as Captain America.

I could've sworn that Chris Evans signed for 6 marvel films...

-Captain America: The First Avenger
-Avengers
-Captain America: The Winter Soldier
-Avengers 2
-Captain America 3
-Avengers 3

And then you have Sebastian signed for a 6 picture deal as well...

-Captain America: The First Avenger
-Captain America: The Winter Soldier
-Captain America 3

the iron man 2 ending is...interesting. so that's how he takes off the armor. and what did Pepper throw at him exactly?

also, watching these with all the unfinished FX is kind of hillarious :P

"Captain America's death should be coming pretty soon. If they're going to follow the comics they'll eventually have Red Skull hire Crossbones to assassinate Captain America and Bucky will take over as Captain America."

That's all a good guess, except they don't rigidly follow the comics. And I for one don't really care about seeing a Captain America movie about someone other than Steve as Captain America, and would think most of the non-comic reading audience would feel the same.

Also, just because they signed for 6 movies, doesn't mean Marvel will use them in 6. Look at Ed Norton.

Those Avengers scenes were good especially the Cap ones. I enjoyed seeing the ordinary person view of the events of Avengers. Very interesting.

IM2 ending was dumb. The real one was actually better, although I would have preferred Whiplash have a smaller suit and him and Iron Man fight and have War Machine fight more drones while Iron Man and Whiplash fought.

Pretty good, definitely the right thing to get rid of the Thor scene although I definitely liked the ones with Cap and Lokie with the Other... Does anybody think the Other should be the villain for Guardians of the Galaxy?

@ruadh

I see what you mean, but I mean... wasn't Ed Norton's conflict due to him and Marvel not seeing eye to eye on Hulk's character treatment and etc? So could we really use him as an example? I think that Evans will be down for Cap. As for Stan, mehhh I could see him doing about 3 or 4 films.
