As of late, the most exciting and recent prospect of The Avengers: Age of Ultron has been the several countries across four continents in which the Marvel production will be filming this spring. We probably won't get any major updates until the sequel actually starts filming, so here's a compilation of Age of Ultron-related tidbits that aren't exactly exciting, but worth checking out.
Despite his character's presumed death in The Avengers and now his starring Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. role, Clark Gregg was asked recently if he could say whether Agent Phil Coulson will be returning to the big-screen for the Age of Ultron. “I can’t say,” he told Assignment X, smiling. “I’m not allowed to say anything – I can neither confirm nor deny. But I am very busy here.” A simple 'no' would have sufficed if Gregg wasn't expecting to appear in the highly-anticipated Marvel sequel, so it's almost safe to say he'll have a role in some capacity; maybe a flashback. Perhaps, he may actually turn out to be the Vision, whose presence in The Avengers: Age of Ultron is all but confirmed.
Moving along, with South Korea being one of the aforementioned countries that Marvel and Joss Whedon will be shooting in, it's been reported that South Korean actress Kim Soo Hyun's fluency in English has landed her a small part in The Avengers: Age of Ultron. In addition to “running away and attempting to escape from the villains,” Kim Soo Hyun's scenes will involve playing a doctor to Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark. Could she be playing Su Yin, the neurosurgeon who tried to correct Stark's deteriorating nervous system in the comics? The bigger question is why would Stark need a doctor. Negative effects of getting the shrapnel removed from his chest in Iron Man 3?

Meanwhile, Mark Ruffalo was asked yet again if
Avengers: Age of Ultron will see Bruce Banner/Hulk “actively dating” as rumored previously.
“If it's true, it will be a very complex and difficult courtship,” he
said, smiling. There's probably some odd correlation between Banner dating, Tony Stark needing aid from a doctor, and the fitness equipment that they may be using in the film...
Stumbled across yesterday by
MTV News, apparently
something... interesting will happen during
The Avengers: Age of Ultron involving some advanced fitness equipment called the Canali System.
“I'm really not allowed to like speak about it yet fully,” said Joe DiAngelo, the owner of New York City's Superstar Gym which makes the equipment.
“It looks like it just came out of a spaceship, like an alien from another planet,” he said.
“Then what happens [in the movie], all I can tell you is that one of the biggest superhero movies and the action heroes are going to be exercising on our fitness equipment in the movie.” While Joe DiAngelo didn't name
The Avengers: Age of Ultron as the film he's referring to, MTV lays out other info that makes it pretty obvious. He further revealed that the studio asked him to build custom exercising equipment for the film's set after one of its actors (
“a bigshot, you know?”) visited the Gym and told producers about the Canali System; either Paul Bettany or Robert Downey Jr. Basically, this equipment will probably be nothing more than props for a scene inside the
Avengers Stark Tower. What do you think?
The Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, with Samuel L. Jackson and James Spader. The anticipated film is set to release on May 1, 2015.
