Over the weekend, Chris Hemsworth attended Wizard World Comic Con in Sacramento, CA, where he signed autographs, posed with fans, and took part in an open Q&A. During the latter session, the Aussie actor was asked about his breakout role as Marvel's Thor, and whether the God of Thunder will get more time to shine in The Avengers sequel next year than he did in the original 2012 superhero assembly. “I hope so,” he said, laughing with the Wizard World crowd. “Everything in [Age of Ultron] is ramped up though. It kind of blew me away reading [the script]. I don't know how Joss [Whedon] does it, but everyone has gone up another notch and the whole thing is bigger and more exciting and crazier. Yeah, he's a genius.” Later during the Q&A session, Hemsworth was asked which of his Marvel Cinematic Universe co-stars does he spend the most time with outside of work, besides Loki Tom Hiddleston. “I probably see [Robert] Downey Jr. a bit because he lives near me,” he pondered. “A lot of us kind of disappear on other projects, so most of the time we don't see each until [the sequels]. I'm really excited to start Avengers 2 in 2 months and get back on set,” the Aussie gushed, which brought a roaring cheer from the crowd. “Yeah, we're going to meet in London and shoot there for 4 months, so I'm excited to get back together with everyone and catch up.” What do you think?
Anyhow, it's worth noting that Chris Hemsworth was asked at some point which Marvel villain (besides Loki) was his favorite. In response, the Thor: The Dark World star referred to the Asgardian goddess of death Hela (even though he forgot her name), and mentioned the Scarlet Witch (“she's pretty awesome”), who's played by the now-brunette Elizabeth Olsen in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Speaking of a hairdo switcheroo, Robert Downey Jr. recently posted to Facebook that he's “trying out new hairstyles” for his fifth Iron Man outing, and that he'd like our thoughts on the following:
The Avengers: Age of Ultron stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Jeremy Renner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, with Paul Bettany, Samuel L. Jackson, and James Spader. The film is set for release on May 1, 2015.
