Just like 2008's The Dark Knight, Warner Bros. have begun a “For Your Consideration” Oscar and Golden Globe campaign for The Dark Knight Rises, the final chapter in Director Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy. Check out the latest three posters for the campaign that have made their way online (even if some are not in the highest quality).

Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ “The Dark Knight Rises” is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. The screenplay is written by Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan, story by Christopher Nolan & David S. Goyer. The film is produced by Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Charles Roven, who previously teamed on “Batman Begins” and the record-breaking blockbuster "The Dark Knight." The executive producers are Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Kevin De La Noy and Thomas Tull, with Jordan Goldberg serving as co-producer. The film is based upon characters appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Batman was created by Bob Kane.

“The Dark Knight Rises” hits DVD, Blu-ray and Digital Download on December 4th. The film stars Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Joseph Gordon Levitt and Marion Colltiard.

How pathetic that this POS can't stand on it's own merits(of which there are none aside from Anne Hathaway in a catsuit) but has to resort to trying to buy awards for it.

WB doing this reminds me of those elementary school kids who mis behave, but anxiously raised their hands wanting to go outside for recess.

So desperate they are. SMH.......

@LEVITKUZ and Bandido

Well said dudes I feel sorry for people who constantly bring up the same shit in every article that deals with the 3 big cbm's this year. I will be buying the blu-ray next week.

l0rdleg0las: Excuse me, but what are you on about?

This is in no way "trying to buy awards". Several studios have campaigns like this, hell as I said in the article, The Dark Knight had a FYC campaign and it was snubbed back in 2009. I guess LOTR bought their awards too...

The poster with the Bat Signal is sick. Idk if TDKR will get any nominations, but I hope it does. This was one of my 2 favorite movies of the year, the other being The Avengers.

@LEVITIKUZ, are you on repeat? Every single time there is a DKR thread you say practically the exact same thing. We get it, you think this movie is gold. Hooray for you.

And I definitely do not get the Taylor Swift reference.

It doesn't feel appropriate. DKR wasn't that "epic". It was just "OK".

@nerdygeek

Yes taking out ads is commonplace for movies leading up to awards season. However in the case of TDKR which even Nolan fans must admit was a truly lacking movie in comparison with BB and TDK it comes off to me as WB trying to buy an award in effort of saying "we didn't drop the ball on the series finale because we got an award"

I love Batman and BB and TDK are great movies. I'm not a Nolan hater or Nolan nut sucker. I just love Batman and I believe TDKR was a terrible letdown. And it is not deserving of awards.
