We have learned plenty of information on Avengers: Age of Ultron over time, but the runtime still remained a mystery. Now according to EventCinemas description, the highly anticpated blockbuster has a runtime of 160 minutes, or 2 hours and 40 minutes. If this runtime is real it will make the sequel almost twenty minutes longer than the first installment, and will also make it the longest film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Marvel Studios presents Avengers: Age of Ultron, the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

That should be a solid 5-10 mins of epilogue. Avengers splitting up, Tony hanging up the Iron Man suit and actually work for the government, Thor somehow stuck on Asgard, Cap's new roster formed?

Those are probably 10 minutes of credits we'll have to sit through to get to them after credits scene that better not be complete [frick]ing bullshit like GoTG's after credit scene.

@BlackestKnight It's actually a very clever marketing move. The target ticket sales for the movie are the US so by releasing it in other regions, (if the movies good) more hype and anticipation will be built by word of mouth leading to more interest and more tickets sold.

I bet if The Avengers came out today, EVERYONE would complain about the shwarma after credits scene. We're so ridiculously spoiled now, and it hasn't even been 3 years.

As long as the film is good then I will gladly sit down for any amount of time.

@AstonishingArachnid I think they can pay the fans in their home country some service for one time.
Just maybe.
Woohoo, general audience doesn't give a shit about the release dates in other countries, they probably didn't even notice.

I certainly didn't until a few months ago.

@MARVELPSYCHO79 The only reason I'm willing to give this the benefit of the doubt is that El Mayimbe (I know, I know) tweeted out that Marvel had a special screening of Age of Ultron the other day for a few guys who've directed MCU movies in the past. I'm assuming they would've shown them a cut of the film that is as close to the final one as possible, so I suppose it's possible that the information for the runtime got out somehow. It's iffy, but plausible I suppose.

@MARVELPSYCHO79
Dude, don't watch anything else!
No TV spots, no more trailers.

That's my strategy and it's the best!

That is a perfect runtime.
